This is like McDonalds upping their prices. Nijisanji was the “lax” version of Hololive. Now that it is not and they have not been transparent about it, it sows distrust in the consumer which is probably the worst thing you can have in a business. People stick with Hololive despite the regulation because they have always been upfront about their “idol” image and branding.

Talent wise (hiring people) all I’ll say is there’s a reason Holo auditions take months to a year to complete they want to make sure they can 100% trust the Talent build a connection with them and know if they can generate revenue as opposed to just 1 of those things

It’s not really a good idea to constantly make cold logic decisions in this industry. People will blame the company and it will get a bad reputation, which will result in talents deciding to go indie or to competition before applying to them.

Realistically, Niji ENs issues seem to be managerial, just like early Hololives myriad of managerial issues. Nothing can’t be fixed over time. Though Nijisanji definitely isnt dying or going anywhere. Its just a rough patch that eventuality they’ll smooth out of. Just like How Hololive lost their two biggest earners + Sana over the course of just a year, plus some other dramas, but are doing perfectly fine now. I’ll still watch both companies anyways. Though i still dont feel bad for Kyho or Falseeye. I don’t support false copyright strikes, but theyre still both leeches who blow up small minor issues into big ones to feed content, and are frequently wrong about their information. They both even spread the myth that you were doxxing hololive talents on you Patreon, and never once retracted their misinformation. The Vtuber community as a whole would be much better off if neither of their channels were ever started.

Can’t wait for Nijisanji redemption arc, they already had a few by collabing with Cover for talent harassment and doxxing but it’s not enough to justify.

I mainly watch Hololive and don’t follow Niji too closely (a few clips here and there, but even those snippets of news I see makes me worried about the streamers. That’s really not a good sign.

arigatou for raising lotsa salient points about issues in Nijisanji from pre-2020s to 2023, based on diff facets (managerial, economic, fan/community-based, within-Niji-groups, etc.)
So much to parse, and so much for even the Nijisanji leadership could take notes from!
For sure, some more in-tune Niji EN leadership folks will be watching your treatise… having translated transcripts in Nihongo and Chinese would help spread the word more among the fans, too!

9:04 Nijisanji Resistance! Time for round 2 maybe and more Vtubers in the company voicing their complaints and workplace issues in funny/constructive ways?
Unfortunately, it could be possible that there are now clauses in the Livers’ contracts that may be preventing their talents from openly talking about workplace issues on stream again… a bad anti-worker lesson learned by management? Still, Nijisanji Resistance’s a great lesson and initiative that could be tried again by other braver, more vocal members?
26:29 Forced talent suspensions hidden under the guise of “vacation breaks” — a really effective way of breaking worker solidarity in the company…

19:05 Maybe there could be a diff category for creators making video essays that try to provide deeper, nuanced analysis of the Vtuber sphere instead of just lumping them all together under “drama”… “commentary channel” or “video essay channel” could be one? Perhaps other peeps don’t see DN-sensei as a drama channel or a news channel either.

29:01 Perhaps there could be something different from reactionary restrictions and preventative restrictions that could prevent further controversies, in any organization? Hololive has been relying on its Ethics Committee chuchubells in the aftermath of the Taiwan-Coco-kaichou problem/harassment from so-called “fans”/antis/the CPP in China…
Maybe a third way is to allow for more Livers, not just the ones favored by mgt, to get involved in the decision-making processes of the company? Or perhaps even getting consultants?

First of all, you are NOT a drama channel. I cannot express how thankful I am for the “much” information, events, THE HISTORY of V-tubing I acquired from you. You made many of us be aware and knowledgeable for us to be part of the v-tubing community.

I think people are overreacting. Nijisanji will be fine. But I’m not saying there aren’t any problems though, cause there seems to be some for sure.

Like personaly I still really like watching NijiEN and I watch them much more then hololive

look up yuzuki roa. . . fsr she streams more on her indie channel than her nijisanji one. . . makes me curious as to why not on the nijisanji one and its not like she graduated too. . . maybe from it was from the drama she was invovled in but its already years since then. . . im pointing my finger at the nijisanji JP management. . . it smells of Black Company
