It’s less of an family and more of a business.
28:00 – PIPIPIPIPI..!
Nijisanji and it’s consequences have been a disaster for vtubing.
Would love to see the Vsjoho deepdive. Nijisansi and Hololive are just money grabbing trash companies. Dont care about them at all. There are no interesting characters in those companies since management doesn’t allow it. Atleast vtubers can keep there models in Vsjoho. Would love to know why Vsjoho doesnt try to expand. 3 new people and 3 leaving in a year is just bad.
TL;DR? Accelerate.
31:53 when was it confirmed it is from the profits of the merch? To me it has been up in the air what those 2 % actually entails, it could be earnings of the sale price, which is more reasonable than the profits.
What the Vtuber industry needs is competition, when only 2 companies determine most of all innovations they slow down and freeze in place, the greater the competition the greater the innovations and those that refuse to change will be left behind.
Damn, the racism takes by twitter make the ayamers memes look credible
Again, I must say that this is why I still subscribe to you even when you were gone : YOUR CONTENTS ARE QUALITY CONTENTS, no matter what people may say.
Blockbuster! Lets go!
Niji EN was a mistake lmao
I wonder how much do the members get paid. Do they even get a cut of the superchats? How does their taxes work since they work for a Japanese company?
Eyo Khyo my boy got a cameo appearance.
But honestly the entire vibe just changed with Nijisanji.
I was fan before and meanwhile Luxiem debuted and I loved them all.
But with time I felt like it’s not the same anymore and that it slowly goes into a directions which I did not like.
And after all this time and everything that comes up, I have to say my gut feeling was right all along.
Nousagi, can you also do video about the rising of VSPO? Also Phase-Connect…
nijisanji models is severely lacks of expression
Tbh Niji is too stretched out. And here i thought Holo is too much for 75 people.
Its like, they need to be assertive to be relevant. And thats killing the productivity of the talent of Niji.
Its like always competing and unable to rest.
You can watch any hololive members and they will still do great since they have an audience of atleast 2k+ everytime. Except Stars and Tempus since having 1k is already a blessing.
Niji on the other hand, if you arent established like Pomu then you wont be remembered. Heck I dont even have time to watch the first 2 EN branch and they have other branches in EN too.
So, I’m going to have a discussion stream about this video so u can let me know what u think and etc: https://www.youtube.com/live/AKllBsjkytQ?feature=share
Niji has turned (or always was) into a machine. They do not have any capacity for giving ground to base level employees and talents. It is what I believe Yagoo recognized, which resulted in Hololive slowing down with their talent releases. For all of their mistakes, Hololive has gone a very long way in helping their talents with their mental health (although a few sadly had to pay the price for that to happen). For now the sheer size of their talent pool allows Niji to weather dramas by sweeping them under the rug but eventually, this kind of thing catches up to any company, if they don’t pay attention to talent mental health and course correct.
Thank you for the video! It’s very well thought out and your analysis on Niji’s shortcomings (their shoddy management and poor handling of issues in general) I agreed with on the most part. Nijisanji was my introduction to vtubers, and I was and still am a Niji fan. Admittedly I watched them exclusively for the longest time. It helped me immensely with learning Japanese too. I was overjoyed when Lazulight debuted, because I felt that Niji talents didn’t receive nearly as much overseas recognition as Hololive’s did back then and I’m still happy to see their growth. But as EN’s popularity surged it’s clear even to me that management did not have the capabilities to handle it in a manner acceptable to the talents or their fanbase. I’ve always heard fellow fans back then talking about how KR and ID deserved better management, but now those issues are more blatant than ever with EN (though JP likely isn’t free from similar issues even in the present). I really hope that Nijisanji/Anykara can learn from this and do better for the sake of their talents after all the backlash from the fanbase, even if it’s in a very small way (that won’t risk hurting their profits). I hope this won’t be just wishful thinking though. Thank you again for the insightful video, Nousagi! You’re my favourite vtuber drama…I mean content creator. ❤
