I’m trying to think of some good team comp for her.
I don’t have Merlin/Waver/Reines.
I have Castoria/Godjuna/Jeanne/Tamamo/S. BB/Bunnytoria.
Honestly not having a Merlin kinda sucks since both in a offensive setup and a stalling setup you do always wanna partner him with Himiko …

To sum up Himiko’s kit base on her role in team:

☑Her team-utility comes from skill 1 (even at lv1) and her NP.
With these, she provides stars, atk up (10% at lv1, 20% lv10), Buster up, Critical up and NP x2 Overcharge (short, OC) for the whole party for 3 turns.
➡Which means she needs her NP, which she has skill 3 – a 50% battery (lv.10), to help with, but in that turn (only IF she has Buster card) she will competes for star with other DPS member(s) because it’s tie to 500% star-weight to Himiko’s Buster card.
➡➡ At a glance, every 3 turns or less, you need to fire her NP to keep her functions going. Less than 3 turns is better because her buff to party’s critical rate ties to OC and the buff from her NP only last for 3 turns, 1 time. ➡NP per turn CE (ex: Prisma Illya, Awakened Will)/ Servant that can help with NP are recommended (ex: Merlin)
✅ Buster crit servants and servants with good OC effects are recommended. (ex: Super Orion, Gil’s anti-servant dmg, Summer Nobu’s anti-Divine dmg, etc.)

☑And her skill 2 drills into her DPS role.
➡A max 10/10/10 (Cooldown: 5/6/6) Himiko without NP will give herself 20% atk up, 24 stars per turn, 30% Buster up, 50% Special dmg against Demonic (all for 3 turns) and 500% star-weight to Buster card + 100% Buster’s critical dmg up (1 turn).
➡With 1 NP (NP 1, OC 1), she can reaches 60% Buster up (3 turns) + 50% crit dmg up (3 turns) that can translate to 150% Buster’s crit dmg up for 1 turn (ties with skill 3’s battery)
➡ 2 NP in 3 turns (same NP lv), it’s 90% Buster up and 125% crit dmg up (3 turns).

✴ You either want Himiko to spam her NP and skill as frequently as possible, even better without having to sacrifice your DPS’s cards and your Buster chains by touching her Arts card.
✴ Or turn Himiko into a crit monster that can refill most of her NP in one (or two) clicks.
✴But really, 0.57 NP gain and two (3 hits) Arts cards is not that nice, so unlock her Append 1 after you’re done with Append 2 Mana loading maybe (?)
✴And her utilities coming from NP is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, if you can spam it, then it has no highest-bar. On the other hand, “What if you can’t spam her NP” scenario isn’t that far-fetched.
✴Personally, I like tank-y Ruler DPS over glass canon Berserkers but others may differ. And Ruler DPS(s) takes time to set up, preferably after 2 NP (ex: Qin Shi Huang, Himiko).
✴Also, no heal in her kit. And she’s not an NP supporter – that’s next year Koyan’s job – who also can support OC and it’s tie to a skill. So Buster Crit team for Himiko and Buster farming for Koyan.

But if you’re like me, who only have Shakespeare and Nightingale for Buster supports and then have some quartz and tickets to spare, then I say she’s worth the summon.
Make your pick but don’t go bankrupt for it.
(that’s what I try to tell myself every time but have never succeeded in stopping the gacha’s salt)
