Wish they would go above and beyond to help rural players instead of worrying so much about. Niantic is the only one who cares about spoofers. Ffs they are gonna ruin this game.

This is definitely a very controversial topic. I personally do not spoof however I definitely have traded and spoke with people that do spoof and I get it. Gas prices are astronomical and theirs people who feel as if they don’t get what they pay for with this game. Their are also disabled players that can’t leave their house and considering we are not 100% out of the woods with this pandemic I can understand why people take certain actions to help enhance their gameplay. And I don’t want to hear “well play another game then” comments & these people sticking up for Niantic like this company cares about them.. Remember…. Niantic essentially screwed people over during Gofest with the shiny rates and they continue to do things behind their players backs like nerf incense and nerf certain rewards with little to no communication. Then theirs a time when a shiny gets released that’s behind a paywall and for some odd reason for the first few hours that this new “shiny” is supposedly released the shiny encounter ironically doesn’t even get turned on so people are wasting their money for what?? How convenient for Niantic. Then when you have an issue and need to talk to support you have to deal with a robot and sometimes you won’t even get a response. If it wasn’t for the Pvp community this game wouldn’t be in the position its in. (No disrespect to others that play the game for other reasons). You can tell that Nianitc has invested a lot of their time & resources lately into PVP for a reason. Lastly, not sure how many people spoof however I’m sure that the spoofing community isn’t small considering theirs a video being made on this topic and Niantic is probably going to take a hit financially because what I do know is If I could go anywhere in the world to play Pokemon Go at anytime you better believe I would spend a crap ton more money on this game.

P.S Isn’t an Auto catcher technically a 3rd party device? You can literally sit down and eat lunch and this device will catch a ton pokemon for you as well as spin stops…I understand that this isn’t as severe as spoofing but what’s good for one is good for another.. I think Niantic should maybe come up with a subscription service where people can use a joystick etc.. and the more options you get the more you pay. Like just a joystick 5.99 a month. Teleportation 14.99 a month. A Map/Iv spreadsheet 24.99 a month etc…

I really don’t have an opinion on these issues. It’s a game, I live in a rural area and have to drive 10 miles to a park so me and my child can play this game, or spend money on an incense to catch pokemon. Maybe the number of pokestops, gyms and spawns should be increased in rural areas.

I feel like this may have already been said, but my theory for Niantic’s stance on spoofing comes down to the fact that it messes with their data collection. After all, they rely on collecting people’s locations for their profit.

That shiny flexing stuff is funny. When a legit player complains about me flexing my shinies I ask for their trainer code then trade them the shiny pokemon on my post. Never heard them complain again. Legit players getting butt hurt about shiny flexing is a man-child. Man if spoofing weren’t against niantic’s rules all these righteous legit players would be all over it.

They would rather focus on anti-cheating rather than fixing existing broken and buggy parts of the game. Cheating does not affect me. Even when cheating I don’t think it is possible in a life time to get everything in the game, for example, every pokemon that is a shundo. And what exactly is there to flex? That you rolled the dice and got lucky. It is not like it took skill to get the Shundo or whatever. I would prefer they actually fix the existing problems before doing anything else. It doesn’t seem like Niantic can walk and chew gum at the same time.

I remember spoofing in 2018. I cleared out both gen 1 and 2 and most of gen 3. They shadow ban me three times on both my accounts. Nothing permanently lost tho

TD; LR: Removing cheaters and adding “legal” method can be awesome (not impossible)

I do have friends that are spoofing, and I can tell, flexing about shundo’s or 4* Pokémon..

So, as a normal PoGo player, I found incredibly rewarding, find those Pokémon .. 43.000 catches, 41 are 4*, mix between Purifications of shadow Pokémon (huge mistake at the time I did it)
I have zero shundo’s, but I am also using shiny 15 attack Pokémon with 90-98 stats, shundo are just for flexing, they are not better than my othersy Pokémon, and even if they are, the number will be so small, that will not even matter.

Do they deserve a ban? Do they deserve to have no access to a Pokémon Go?

Before asking this remember: you decide to play a game where developers, decide:
– Rules
– Game item
– Pokémon rarity
– any new mechanic or event add to the game

The answer would be yes, for me yes, but I cannot accept this, because, if spoofing exists, it’s mean as players and cheaters have both a passion about the game, we see and want to complete this game in various ways
– Collection Pokémon
– Collection shiny Pokémon
– Power up
– Create my childhood team
– Using the egg as a reward for a walk
– Shundo hunting
You name it, you will have your own object

What are we then? The community, feedback can be collected and used for future or unintended updates.

Is there a way that spoofing can be used as a game mechanic? Legally? Remote raid pass!
Uhm… But I would not find those Pokémon because they are not in my region…

New solutions can be created

Want one example?
What about: when do you received a gift, you can choose, once a day? Every 6h? To teleport in that Pokestop, and have a look around for 5 minutes? I would love to see this 🙂

I have to disagree with the “unfair” part about it yes some spoof apps are absolutely ridiculous but what ab me a player who lives in the country and not a stop near me for at least 15 min by car. Opposed to a player who lives in the city and literally gets everything handed to them. Leave the spoofers alone man they aren’t bothering anyone. Let people play how ever they want. ( not talking about boting )

Why cant people just play the game how they enjoyed it. Why do people always have to look at others. Just play your own game. I ain’t looking at the next person over. As a person dealing with mental health I found solace in being able to spoof. I found joy being able to do it and its really unsafe to go downtown in my city with my health condition. Thats where all the pokestops are. I have almost nothing where I live. Also with the price of gas its really stupid to be chasing after pokemons or put your life at risk for this game. Just my thoughts. I had my own code of coduct when spoofing, I aint ever messing with legit players. Minded my own business. TBH.

I only really have an issue with spoofing if they’re stealing all the gyms because then it really sucks to try to get coins In my mid-size town

I don’t know how this is going to help everybody out because there is a lot of people that have only one stop and their entire area. Which isn’t even a gym. And have only two legal friends. Occording to their rules and terms of service. Not everybody lives in a city. Or has extra cash to throw away on gas. Or travel. Or lives in an area where the weather stays constant. So all you’re saying is since Niantic only wants people to play their game in cities. And in a small town area where we don’t have any stops you’re just f,@*&$#. But we want everybody to have the same chances of catching a pokémon.

I think as spoofer this will be my end of pokemon go career. I literally have 0 pokestopes and spawns in my area. Even if wish to stop spoofing and just do pvp i will eventually run out of balls and berries to catch the reward encounter pokemon. So it was a nice journey. ✌️

how i feel is for people who liv in places like me where no one does raid, and i dont have any big pokestop places we should be able to spoof. For the younger and no so lucky people who can”t travel everywhere i think we should be able to. Over all spoofing isn’t bad and most of the time people who use it are people who can’t drive or can’t travel everywhere.
