I have a legit account as well as a spoofing account. I get by far more enjoyment out of the spoofing account because they implemented the things we AS A COMMUNITY have been begging for since about 2018, like auto-incubation and hatching, auto-transfer of Pokemon to save storage during Spotlight Hours and make the most of time, auto-catcher support, skipping of unnecessary animations, gift assistants to allow for sending gifts and social interaction with more players at a faster rate of time during events, Buddy Assistants to ensure that you get the most out of Poffins and of Buddy Boosts while being able to play the, might I add, all SHORTENED events.

I have by far spent more money on the spoofing account than I ever will on the legit account because Niantic is more prone to screwing up an entire event for a region only to say “oops sorry, issue resolved now tho” after it ended there and leave it fixed for everyone else, cause screw us, right? We’re all just guinea pigs for a social experiment as long as they make money and are able to harvest as much data as possible. They maliciously screw over their own player base at every possible turn and ramrod everyone for money with every little facet of the game.

I leave Lure Modules for free for others. I don’t use the spoofing account for PVP to screw other Trainers who are playing with the values intended, and I use the best things that I have available as trade opportunities for less fortunate players who were unable to travel, as well as using the best things I have for raids in order to help other Trainers to be able to get these things since Niantic chooses to make things as difficult and time-consuming as possible for the little guy.

So glad that content creators and Niantic’s Twitter can stand by and defend the terrible actions or moments of falling short and failing the player base, yet do nothing to present any of the actual efficacy or benefits therein of being able to spoof.

As a person who has never once even so much as been able to set foot outside the country, Niantic certainly didn’t care about taking the money from me for the Safari Zone with completely busted trading ON THEIR END that they did nothing about even for legit in-person trainers, and they certainly don’t care about ramming the $50 per event purchase of ALL the Go Fest In-Person Tickets in my face.

I’ll give a flying f**k about their virtue signaling when they actually do anything to improve the legitimate gameplay.

It takes three to four spotlight hours to get the 296XL candy for some of these things since Niantic refuses to make obtaining Rare Candy XL so much as the slightest inkling of a percentage more than it already is, which is reduced since previous times from what I know. Again, another opportunity to screw their own paying customers into a more difficult and time-consuming experience while literally bombarding them with events and spawns.
As a person with clinical anxiety to a borderline overwhelming degree who tries to use the game as an escape to cope with such, Niantic is really making it next-to-impossible to achieve that nowadays. So long as they’re not griefing other players, who actually even cares what spoofers are doing? How is me minding my business farming neat things to have a cool collection and be able to help others IN MY COMMUNITY with what I have causing anyone else harm?

To those who have disagreements, sure, you’re more than entitled to them. But Niantic trying to act like they haven’t benefitted EXTREMELY during the pandemic from spoofing is absolutely laughable.

Their yearly profit margins would SCREAM disagreement at you, and I guarantee you it’s not from a mass surge return of the legitimate players who all quit for three years all hopping on planes all 40,000 of us during a global pandemic and numerous lockdowns to superspread Covid while you pushed that we should all go out and die while also spreading illness from an airborne disease that was killing people left and right before vaccines were accessible. That’s bullspit and even Niantic knows it.

It might not kill the game to get rid of us, but it’s sure to hurt their wallets and they know good and well that it’s a bad call, but yet again, all people do in this community is whine and moan about how terrible everything is as a legit player. So you want it to stay that way forever? Cool. That’s great.

You can catch me quitting altogether once they do this and I won’t be back. I had my time as a happy legitimate player when Niantic wasn’t draining us all dry.
Take it from a person who started playing July 8, 2016 as soon as I could and was an active player until the community died out from –shocker– people getting bored of Niantic leaving the game as-is and who had already gotten tired of the bugs.
Six years later and here we are… A game still in-development at every sense of the word.

Niantic doesn’t know how to fix its bugs, Niantic doesn’t know how to accept their wrongs, Niantic doesn’t know how to communicate with their audience, Niantic doesn’t know when to stop with their pricing anymore, Niantic cheats players out of things they even paid their money for. This isn’t something that I had to sit around for two weeks and contemplate writing out. It’s the sentiments of every player and they’re sick and tired of push coming to shove from a company that does not care about its customers, first and foremost, but also of their players as a global community.

Sure, they want to build community engagement right before they tear that community straight to the ground.
Sounds like a practical business plan.

Waiting for Wal-Mart to start arresting everyone who walks through their door as a safety policy for legitimate customers so as to save their assets and money in the process while providing a wholesome booking/shopping experience for legitimate customers. Sounds safe. Better yet, let’s make sure we put them into a cell with at least 2-4 Covid-positive inmates during that time so that BrandonTan91 can get Covid for the 18th time trying to do something that he, like all of us, loves to do.
#HearUsNiantic did nothing… NOTHING to change Niantic and it never will because, frankly, they don’t care about ANY of us, legitimate or not in terms of meeting a quota or a profit margin as a business. They could can all of us right now and Pikmin Bloom would still have 24-hour long Community Days.

Trust me, I didn’t forget about that. If you think Niantic is treating anyone fairly with this game, you’re a complete fool.

P.S- You want to avoid having issues with spoofers in PVP?
Start by fixing your busted-a** PVP servers that YOU don’t even know how to fix before you worry about how spoofing couldn’t be adjusted into a server-based alternative that detects and verifies legitimate trainers for specific circuits, like how Apex puts only hackers together via the anti-cheat system to ensure balanced gameplay for those who choose either pathway.
That’s how you build a community. Take care of it and nurture it into something that pleases all, not what pleases your office manager and gets your fifteen minutes of fame while ruining it all for the rest of us that suffer through incompetence on a nearly-daily basis.
Fix the PVP servers, fix the lag, fix the White Screen of Death and the despawn glitches.
There’s a reason why people avoid GBL like the plague from time to time… and it’s not us, nor is it any players.

I just want to address two things real quick:
1. For them to want all players to be on the same level they have to actually make the game fair for everyone in every region they play. Rural players are very effected by the lack of gyms, pokestops and spawns even though they say there’s spawn in those areas (city, forest, mountains, beach)
2. Interesting to know that YOU know how long the softban/cooldown is (2hrs). Very interesting indeed 🤔 lol jk

I’ve hatched 2 shundos(seasel and onxy)
using any app to play pogo (even Facebook, messenger, IG or twitter) is technically against their terms. you are using another source to improve your gameplay. that being said, if they don’t do PvP I don’t see an issue with it. let people play how they want

Worth mentioning that Niantic have also definitively stated that using third-party auto-catchers such as the Gotcha is breaking the ToS and is a bannable offence.

Anyway, I’m kinda glad I don’t know how spoofing works. I just enjoy the game.

Oh and after 4 years, I’ve yet to get a shundo 🥲🥲🥲 do better Niantic. Maybe this Seattle Go Fest?

As a player who played legit for 2+ years and now spoof here’s my take. I’m spoofing fully knowing the risk I’m taking. If my account gets caught then so be it.. I knew the risk. Now if you are spoofing and bragging about your shundo’s/hundo’s then that’s pretty lame as anyone who spoofs knows how easy it is to get them. I started spoofing after taking a year off because the cost to drive to raids or drive to areas with higher spawns was out weighing the reward. Is it unfair to spoof- sure. Is it unfair that higher populated areas get more spawns? Yes. If you don’t want people to spoof then create an even playing field for spawns not based on location/population. If I could get the same spawns in my neighborhood as I do in Osaka, Japan then I wouldn’t spoof! As a father of two kids with hardly any time in the day spoofing gives me the opportunity to have fun in the game after putting the kids to sleep. To each their own but ultimately I’m not hurting anyone (I rarely PVP) I mainly just raid/catch mons and spoofing has provided a ton of fun in the game again.

Believe me the min they start banning players 75% of active players will definitely stop playing. Me too and there goes the hype as well. So its basically LOSE LOSE situation for us for you as Content create caus we r not watching ur videos and Pokémon go as we r not playing.

I have spoofed. I put more money into the game when I did because the options for the game made it worth it. Now, where I live, I can’t find enough people for raids, every event is a bust and gyms/stops are hard to come by. It sucks because the game that I love doesn’t love me back and none of it is my fault. What? Because I live somewhere I’m punished?

Since I’m spoofing I spent so much more money in pokemon go. Raid passes, go fest, coins for incubators… I simply cannot play if I’m not spoofing as I live in the middle of nowhere and work 10+ hour per day 6 days a week, the only way for me to play is to spoof to bigger cities, so they can terminate my account I don’t care…
I have 6 stops and 2 gyms within 1h drive around my house before I reach the nearest town! Do you know how frustrating it is to play on community days and not getting any shiny while people in big cities catch 1000 pokemon in one community day and have millions stardust and items.
Most people don’t even know how it feels to not have enough stops that you run out of pokeballs every 3 days..

I spoof so I can enjoy pokemon go better and as I can now play harder I spend much more money. And before anyone say anything the money goes to pokemon go as I’m buying coins through the original pokemon go app then log in to the 3rd party one. Third party doesn’t allow you to buy coins and tickets so spoofing is unfair to other players blabla I get thst point but for niantic I’m spending more money now then ever so take my account away I don’t care. I’m not gonna play in the hole I live in anyway..

If Ninantic bans spoofers, they sre gonna loose a big part of the community and which results in less In game purchases and pokemon go will be done. The only reason I play pokemon is because I can spoof to a good area with lot of players to raid and catch pokemon and also it helps in events and community days.

If Ninantic wants to ban spoofers, first they should implement fair number of pokestops and gyms across all rural areas. Then we will talk about spoofers.

my aaccount got banned back in like 2015 or 2016 for spoffing when pokemon was just starting to get popular. never got warnings just got banned. i quit till 2021 and started a new account since my other one is still band.

QUESTION? When we get invited to raids through discord or raid party those type of things is that considered spoofing? I am older, don’t even understand how I could change GPS.. but being in a rural area with limited gyms I get invited to raids by using raid party or poke genie. For that matter is using poke genie to check stats a problem? Please help my confusion Billy.. thanks! Oh one more thing, my grandchildren play using my phone at times. I log out, and they log in. Is that a problem? Thank you sooo much Billy. I don’t want to do something wrongly. Hugs, your Smyrna service dog friend
