Niantic wants to use the term as fair advantage for everyone when it comes to spoofing well just being in a lower populated location compared to others is a prime example of that, spoofing gives a fair advantaged for everyone

Niantic is really set on pissing off their community. Most people dont even really care about spoofers and also on top of that Niantic has the absolute worst system for people being able to add pokestops. So talking about unfair advantages while some people can grind their asses of because they live in the “correct part of the world” for that and others would need at least 5x that time to grind the same amount and not having any way of changing that is just the biggest bs ever. so good job niantic… again

they should “sell spoofing packages” like xbox or ps5 sells psn o microsoft membership to play online , 1h spoofing for x amount 1 month for x amount.. they could potentially profit out of it

Of all the things for them to focus on… Let’s be real, the main reason they don’t want people location spoofing is because they can’t get accurate AR maps which is their ultimate goal as a company (this has been covered by a number of people, including Trainer Tips). Their concern has never been everyone having a level playing field. And if they really wanted to be more inclusive, they wouldn’t run special events in specific regions of the world while excluding the rest. Not just GoFest either. I’m talking stuff like the events specific to Latin America, Tokyo, etc.

So I don’t spoof, but I can honestly say I have thought about it. You say the game should be fair to everyone, but you have the ability to travel and make a living off this. People that work full time jobs and have a family to take care of have a hard time playing especially in a rural area.

So for me i barely have any spawns in my area and it honestly makes me not even open the game. The closest good spot is over an hour from me, but again family and my work doesn’t allow me to go that far to play a game. The old incense during the pandemic actually had me playing because I would get stuff and have to buy pokeballs from the shop due to no stops near me. They nerfed that so I stopped opening the game completely.

So to me that isn’t fair, plus doing a 5 star raid? Lol what are those I only get to do it if I get invited remotely. There are other methods through discord ect ect but that is just so much work and the game becomes a chore.

I have watched spoofing videos and yes sure them getting good shundos and what not but at the end of the day it’s a game that is supposed to be fun. I never understand why people get mad at others getting a shinny ect I only care about my account no one else’s.

I honestly just wish instead of spending all the time trying to stop Chester’s they would fix rural areas so people everywhere can play. I can’t be the only one that has this issue!

TBH, spoofing is a non issue in the game anymore. Gyms are almost a non-important or ignored system bc there are no longer EX raids and the amount of coins you get from this system is a joke. Being able to brag a shundo or rare Pokémon is a dumb reason to go after spoofers when their GBL system is so broken and abused by non spoofing players. I get that Niantic is a “go out and play” company and they want everyone to play on the “same level”, but spoofing does not give a real or impactful advantage in any section of this game other that bragging which is dumb to do in the beginning.
