Niantic: we want everyone to have a fair playing field but makes events across the world and can only play them if you have money or make YouTube a career. I love your videos. Just sucks for people like me who is a single mother who plays the game to relax and feel young again and can’t travel due to not being able to afford to go around the world.

First: im wanting to know if poke genie is ok because it doesnt ask credentials but it records your screen and guesses or show exact ivs, and Second: i personally am thinking on what i think about spoofing i dont support it but i dont hate it

I agree with this. I hope Niantic does not go after IV checkers tho. Checking IVs is not anything unfair and I feel a majority of the community uses one.

This is dumb, this game is alive cause of spoofers and if someone thinks thats not true you are delusional. Also keep in mind this… They spend a lot more money on this game than non spoofers, also thanks to them most raids are always full so in reality Niantic needs to address all the errors of the game instead of this. Gbl has been so crap is not even funny and they have done nothing. PVP and Raid system is extremely repetitive and boring. But hey let me ban some spoofers who probably will make more accounts anyway.

This is so stupid, I’m in a spoofing discord and 5 million accounts were banned. And of those 5 million there was disabled people, people who live in remote area and don’t have the money to travel even if just 50 miles. People who live in area that are far too dangerous to walk around in at any time of day. There are toxic people in the spoofing community sure but flexing a shundo bothers y’all when non-spoofing communities have literally made people quit the game forever is better how? Because those people didn’t have a shundo that made you jealous. Ik there are many unfair advantages spoofers and I’d be completely fine with all those being gone BESIDES the gps location because of the above listed reason. You are killing off a fan base that loves the game sm they use unsafe 3rd party apps. Just let us all have a pier 39, a NYC, a Zaragoza, an AUCKLAND. Because fair is the last thing you guys (Niantic) care about right now this is equal and equal is injustice to so many good people that just want to enjoy pokemon like the other half does

Sometimes my location changes dramatically if I have my GPS on inside a place. I had my auto catcher going, and was in Chandlerville, IL catching Pokemon in Havana and Canton, both in Illinois. It happens at work sometimes, and puts me about 2 blocks away.

Personally I think spoofers ruin the game for others to a certain extenct. I live in a rural area with not a lot of pokestops and gyms, and they always instantly claim the gym back when I try to get my daily pokecoins. I havent gotten a single pokecoin in 30 days because of this which makes it almost impossible for me to buy remote raid passes to raid mewtwo. But I dont think Niantic should focus on banning these players, but rather add new features that makes playing in rural areas easier, which will discourage spoofing and lead to less spoofers.

Spoofing will never go away. People are paying for spoofing software, and they have spoofing accounts so if they do get banned its no big deal. Also so what if they ban the accounts, spoofing makes getting it all back on a new account easy.

I totally disagree with one of your first comments. Niantic doesn’t care about a level playing field. They only care about money or they would implement pokestops everywhere for rural people to. Their system is setup so only wealthy can catch them all without cheating. Not everyone can spend thousands on the game and traveling to catch a regional or attending an event that is only in one city. Personally I have never spoofed but I definitely don’t blame those that do. As far as unfair advantage goes I would say that belongs to people with so much money they can waste it traveling for a game while others are starving

I heard a good argument once that all this is just window dressing to make it look like they want to stop spoofing but really they make a lot of money from these people. If you can find any raid 24 hours a day then you would end up spending a lot on raid passes. The argument also goes that regionals and other rare locational pokemon are incentives and rewards for doing it. I would love to know what % of Okinawa Pikachu have been caught by people physically in Okinawa, I am sure it is quite small. I don’t do it myself, it is a line I don’t want to cross but I know the only way I will ever get an Okinawa Pikachu is to find someone who does and trade them for it.

Niantic is allowing spoofing to happen. It all started with regionals. Whole point of the game is to catch them all. Well how can a regular person catch them all if they can’t afford to fly to say Egypt for a sigliyph? Niantic has the power to stop the spoofing themselves, they just choose not to. Spoofers actually help the rural players who can’t get a stop in their area because niantic. It’s all on the dev team to fix the game. They refuse to make it fair, so spoofing happens. Can’t forget the pandemic either. That really hurt people playing and doing in person events.

I don’t spoof. I don’t mind people who spoof to catch and grow their collection. I have many paralyzed friends who can’t get out and catch so this is their way of enjoying the game. I do have an issue when people consistently knock you out of gyms so you can’t collect coins. They hoard the gym to themselves and it’s unfair as they can attack at all times without having to leave their home. The moment it affects other players in a negative way, then it is a problem.
