About time! Spoofing is not fair for the real players
Spoofing should be a permaban right away
anyone know where to get this “spoofing” apps, asking for a friend. definitely not for me.
You mean like the channel Lifting and Zombies? I hate watching that guy he makes the game not seem fun anymore
I don’t spoof but can see why rural players would feel the need to. The game design is INHERENTLY FLAWED. Someone who lives in NYC has a SIGNIFICANT advantage over someone who lives in the middle of no where North Dakota. That IS NOT an “even” playing field.
lol what a joke niantic, worried about spoofers over actually making your game fun and playable 😂 games only fair for big content creators who live in urban areas
Thing is a lot of players use secondary accounts for spoofing and then trade those pokemon to their main account. They’ll just keep creating new secondary accounts
Spoofing doesn’t cause an unfair advantage unless you play GBL. I spoofed bc I wanted to catch awesome pokemon for my personal gain. I dont care what other people have or don’t have. I don’t have the luxury to spend hours like these youtubers playing all day and make money from it. Plus there are many reasons why spoofing has allowed people to want to play the game. Which is what I did. Stopped playing in 2018, found a spoofing method and picked it up again. Also I’m willing to bet money that most of Niantics income comes from spoofers
As a spoofer I did it to level up since I had little to any stops in my area but omg 20-40 was as quick and was now able to add pokestops in my area. Which shows rural areas have a harder time to even level up. Poke balls aren’t remove from the bag, friendship’s hardly gets us anything and pokecoins are as hard to get since sometimes the Pokémon stays there for days.
Flex is something game creators invented… cool down meaning traveling across the globe with Max 2 hours between long distancing is actually something game creators invented… regionals is something creators made. Rare spieces as well… spoofing is really bad but paying for fest 15€ and getting 6 shinies after 8 hours of gameplay is bad… I got 28 and I am not a content creator so ok luck is luck and rules are rules
It’s niantic a fault people spoof because the game isn’t fun for people who live in areas without gyms and pokestops like me. Maybe if they added pokestops and gyms to more areas a lot less people would spoof.
And what I hate that that spoofers can buy the Berlin seattle and Sapporo tickets and just use spoofs to get there and not even buy an airplane ticket and they can just destroy every gym in the world and the final and worst thing is that they are showing it publicly on YouTube shorts
So is Poke Genie bad too?
Issues with this;
I played in Dallas, Texas while at a convention it would randomly fling me to the corners of the earth because the hotel or convention center was screwing with GPS, I got a warning, my sister got a ban. We were standing in a hotel.
“It makes it unfair” The game is unfair, it will always be an uneven playing field, I traded 240 pokemon with my friends after the Dieno comm day, My partner got 2 hundos and a lucky hundo, my sister on her new account got a ton of luckies, I got a few luckies at low 3*. I played the comm day the whole time start to finish and walked around the whole time and got 2 shinies, my sister signed in at work and got 4 and my partner who was walking got 1. There is no blanket luck for everyone, some people will get more than others, I had my wheelchair which is why I even got to do comm day. I have friends who are stuck at home.
Question. What if me and my wife travel a lot but not together every time and we both have 2 phones each so sometimes we help each other and trade. so if we are not together but log into one phone and trade each other or what ever else and then turn on pokemon go from where ever the other is. it will look like i went from one state to another in one second, we dont spoof but do you think that will look like spoofing on their end, or is that cheating in anyway? Is that a ban worthy?
Thanks for information bro,
It’s very difficult to play pogo
in remote area, so I used spoofing.
But now I would switch to original Pokemon go to save my account.
And once again thanks for information.
I’m reminded of Ehrmann’s Desiderata. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter.
I don’t spoof – 100 percent not in my technical ability range. But it doesn’t bother me one bit that others do. This isn’t the NHL playoffs with the cup on the line – we don’t need to create a perfectly level playing field to judge who is the big “winner.” My achievements in game are not measured by whatever Player X has in his or her inventory.
This whole debate is not too dissimilar from the FTP players who think that their milestones are somehow better because of the grind that they endured to hit them. Or the players who have been complaining about these in person events and how the associated travel costs eliminate a large portion of players from being able to attend and collect the exclusives. Or the people who believe they’ve been shorted because they live in developing countries or rural areas with very spotty game play (I saw this personally in South America). Or the group of players in Australia who want “compensation” for having to bear the brunt of the event glitches.
There are a million in game and out of game variables that make everyone’s experience with POGO unique. One way of playing is not inherently superior or inferior. It’s simply different.
Just do you, people. You’ll be a lot happier if you go through life that way. If it’s impacting Niantic’s bottom line, that’s for them to worry about and regulate.
They need to ban people who use the lag exploits in Go Battle League.
So Niantic is saying that someone spoofing for a shundo heracross tilts the playing field in their advantage over the players that can drop hundreds of dollars each week to raid for legendaries…..sounds about right.
I’m level 40 and only have 4 shundos i can see why it would seem unfair to be able to find hundreds of shundos early on
