The easiest way to fix this issue would be for Niantic to make the IVs of each Pokemon random for each player. Then spoofers can’t fly to shiny check hundos or catch rank 1 PVP Pokemon. Spoofers would still have an advantage in finding rare spawns and visiting dense spawn clusters from home, but random IVs would take away a lot of the incentive and the advantage that actually affects other people.

I spoof because I live in a rural area, and cannot move/travel. Nothing about this game is fair/level playing field. Plus I will play a game how I wanna play because it is so much more fun this way then normal. So I have fun spoofing I don’t attend in GBL. I just play for me. Niantic Can Suck it. Will never catch me. Lol they suck at even fixing there game. How they going to catch spoofers/hackers.

The bottom line…spoofing is illegal because Niantic hasn’t released a paid “jouneying” feature to add a monthly or weekly bill to the fans. I personally don’t care who spoofs, or what people do. Niantic has this game rigged to take money constantly and those that have played 4+ years know it well. They should focus their time on making the game more fun to play, but they don’t care….they tossed gible, then deinos shiny into the egg trap to get $$$ when we all expected them to be a fun community day. They just did axew the same way to lead us into a starly cday. The game is already rigged and being used to exploit people with FOMO and they know this. They give weak excuses to explain why they do things, and people forget that they are a business. They aren’t doing this for your enjoyment, they want your money.

It is a bit irritating when people certain people (cough) “Liftingandzombies” are able to catch 3-5 shinies in 3 hours half way across the world and live stream from the comfort of their home.

What about Poke Genie? It basically records your screen when you appraise a pokemon to let you know if it’s good IV for PVP or not.

If you really wanna spoof, use an older phone you don’t use your main account on anymore, create a dumby account, spoof it, then just trade anything good to your main account. Don’t risk what you’re not willing to lose.

I am a father with a full time job and I have spoofed and done pokemon go legit, I honestly think spoofing makes the game 10x more fun, I live in the middle of nowhere, so i feel like it gives me a level playing field with people that can travel the world for pokemon. I buy pokecoins, so I fund the game still, there no monetary rewards for having strong or shiny pokemon, just feel good. I feel like spoofing your gps should be fine, but other things like exploiting shouldn’t be allowed.

Hey Billy, I would love an opportunity to debate you on this. I do enjoy some of your live streams and info videos, but lately you have been posting a lot of show off videos. It’s hard to support you when you publish these show off videos. Not all of us are supported by Niantic and have hundreds, if not thousands of patreons backing us like you do. Remember, you are posting this video in Berlin. My entire 6 year pokemon go career I have traveled once for this game. You get to globe hop on someone’s dime. You get to attend all these events, all over the world for free. There are so many problems with pokemon go. Niantic refuses to be transparent with anything. Niantic continues to charge more and more, while delivering less and less. Not to mention the amount of bugs in this game they refuse to address. Yes, the anti-spoofing software caught me and I’m on a 7 day warning. But for a game that has so many bugs and demands so much of my time and money, it gets to a point where I have to ask myself if it’s even worth it to play anymore. After 2 disappointing go fests and with Niantic as money hungry as ever, I’m starting to think it’s not. Let people play how they want to play. When Niantic bans all the spoofers, let’s see how much in profits they will see. Spoofers are your hard-core gamers. Losing them will cripple this game. Niantic wins this round but the war is never over. I will play legit, for now. Eventually the spoofing software will catch up and we will continue this cat and mouse game again. For now, gg Niantic. We will see if this holds.

“you are at an unfair advantage because you can go anywhere to catch Pokemon” so should you be banned because you get paid to travel places others aren’t able to to catch Pokemon? Has nothing to do with unfair advantage, rural players have always been at an unfair disadvantage it has never been an even playing field. they’ve done nothing because they don’t care. It’s all about money because spoofers are less likely to buy these ridiculous priced tickets for events lol

We have an entire discord of spoofers that trade people shinies and pokemon they can’t get because of where they live and how little access they have to anything. Niantic is a money hungry joke that doesn’t care about its player base. Punishing players who are helping other players is just stupid.
