I heard about a ban wave on Monday where most discords were full of ban screen shots etc. this continued till Tuesday. Come Wednesday people are still spoofing and posting shundos. If what you claim is true is Niantic sleeping after giving the strikes to 5M accounts as people will still spoof

I like how the ones who get mad at spoofing are the ones who have the resources to spend money on the game. And the time to spend. Not taking into account the fact that a lot of players don’t have access to wither the resources nor have the time or live in an area to be able to enjoy playing the game

Not knocking you or anything but it’s hard to talk about an unfair advantage from the viewpoint of a youtuber who travels all over the world for free to play Pokémon go for free (you probably dont even come out of pocket for pokecoins at this point)No different than a spoofer actually. So it’s cool for you but not cool for someone who lives in the country and can’t have youtube pay for his travels like you.

Well while they are getting more an advantage spoofing they also trade with people that can’t afford to travel the world to complete a dex. So that hurt the non traveling people

They just need to turn off pvp for those who wish to spoof i myself do not care for pvp i stay to myself dont play with others outside of raids and only spoof to get Pokémon i can’t afford to travel to so who am i hurting exactly?

How about they fix the game instead of concentrating on this? How does spoofing really negatively impact any other players…I see them as more of a benefit to players. I know a lot of spoofers who trade certain pokemon that other people can’t or don’t have the ability to catch. They don’t seem to care about rural players or players w/disablitlites.

Spoofers needs to develop their own game, with similar concept of pogo if they want the concept of spoofing. With all the excuses and reasons for spoofing, it still not valid. Pokemon go’s main goal is to get you to walk.

One of my friends spoofs, but he lives up in the mountain countryside, so I don’t blame him.
I remember visiting his place when I went to visit my home country just before COVID, and there was literally nothing up there.
Too bad we can’t make a sheep a Pokestop. 😂

I missed out on the legendary dogs raids for the same reason. My tiny home town about 30 minutes from his mountain has very few players and gyms. I feel blessed to live in Tokyo now.

I honestly don’t see much difference between “spoofng” and the auto-catchers. If you’re running an auto-catcher, are you playing Pokemon Go, or is the game playing itself?

Ok, you way overstated how much spoofing helps. I’ve started my account in October and have been spoofing for almost the whole time. I have about 100 shiny (most from playing com day). I only have one shundo. It was from deino com day. I play a tone. The only thing spoofing helps me with is finding Pokémon since I live in a rural area. For me and thousands of others, Pokémon go becomes unplayable without spoofing

Yeah, its cheating by developer rules. But you should ask, why so many players are doing this? How could they improve the game, so people would rather play normally than spoof. How come i got 5 new pokestops in my city and one gym after 6 years of playing? How is that fair? What will change, if they would implement 100 pokestops in a small city? Nothing will change, people who are playing, will enjoy the game more, and people playing in New York would love to play there also! Why do people have to suffer with 3 pokestops in a city? Why you make them then? Its like a drug, you let them download the game, taste the gameplay, then you get hooked, after that you see these big youtubers travelling and showing how their game looks and you want to play like that also, so of course you choose to spoof! But nothing would change in game, if niantic gave a small city 100+ pokestops! Like i dont get it. Another opinion i have is about toxicity. I play by my own, no one cares how i play, what i catch etc. I do it for me. Im not interested or jealous about people getting shundos or rare pokemon, let them! My gameplay isnt affected by that, i catch what im catching already. Its my take on this. Yes its cheating by the rules, but please! IMPROVE THE GAME FOR SMALL CITIES or dont give them opportunity to even start the game so they dont get dissapointed! Thanks

I mean i get your point and from player ( legit and spoofers) and i get niantic.

But i still find that players needs to play how they want to play some can not travel to places like pokemon go is intended so their only way is prob spoofing to get some kind of enjoyment on the game.

Beside i dont know the actuly nummers of players that spoof but i know their is allot and all lot of those players also put decent amount of money in game. Its kind of a bad move from niantic that bans players who spend money even tho they spoof. So what is they get shundos faster then legeit players its a damn game its only pixels on a schreen. They goal is to meet people and enjoy company and meet friends the goal is not to play the game.

Spoofers also find new players also enjoy the comapny of others spoofers i know some of them that became best friends and lovers while they met in spoofing discord so whats the problem?
