I do understand ppl getting attacked by niantic for multiple accounts but what about those who have multiple accounts but do not spoof or do illigal acts and simply play the game normally on those extra accounts.
I don’t think those who play normally and have extra accounts and play normally on those accounts should be banned. But it’s up to niantic I guess on what they think is right

I have both normal and spoof accounts. I don’t mind if Niantic bans my spoof account because my normal main account is what matters. However, I found that I spend more on my spoof account so while it would not sink Niantic, I doubt they will want to lose that much revenue because I feel that it’s quite a significant one. I think what Niantic are investigating now is not to ban but to identify spoofer and calculate the revenue generated by this group of trainers and estimate Niantic’s balance sheet if a ban should be placed. Knowing what kind of company Niantic is, I doubt they will go through with it after running it through the executives.

This is for the botters that capture the max 14k pokemon and 1.4k poke stops in 1 day
… I rather spend 5$ on app and 7.99$ for ticket, than buy ticket lodging food every time GP is live… if the new pokestop assign actually worked…

The way you sign into Campfire could really crack down on multiple account people…..you can sign up or log in via Facebook or Google….if you do Google then you could only link one account…I tried Facebook earlier and it wouldn’t let me sign in. Funny though how you can use the one Google account to pay for items on different accounts.

Get rid of spoofers, yes. Multi-accounted… tougher. A lot of reasons for multi-accounting are reasonable, but if it can be proven people who do it are harming others, then by all means ban (after maybe warning them first).

Good. People in this thread are perfect example of the weird contortions gamers go through to justify cheating. So toxic. The game will absolutely not die if you can no longer cheat. 🤦🏽‍♂️

It seems incredibly easy to prevent spoofing too. How can the game flag you for driving too fast when you’re walking, but not recognise being in distances 1000 km apart in 10 seconds? Seems easy to fix.

So on this topic Are they going to ban people with auto catchers people use swings and Fitness apps to gain walking Km and candies?? I’ve always felt like that was cheating as well. Either way I think Niantic is using this as a distraction or it’s because it’s about money not from us legitimate players. I am honestly slowly losing interest in this game, I’m thinking of going back into PC gaming. Not a fan of the greed spending more and seeing less. Bottom line is fix your game Niantic! it’s been six years you want to celebrate something start fixing your game At this point there’s no excuses.

Ive spended about 7k € in pokemon go, and got perm banned after the last pushed update. I was banned twice due to IOS issues in 2020/2021 which wasnt my fault. I spoofed for 3 months and perm banned. Other ppl in my town spoof for nearly 4 years and never had a warning. Triggers are bs if you ask me.

I have a “friend” that spoofs. His reasoning is he lives in a area with no pokestops and one 1 spawn point at his house, so only 1 Pokémon a hour. To stock up on poke balls and stuff, he would have to drive 45 minutes one way, walk for 6-8 hours in a circle to collect the items and Pokémon. That would last him a week or two. He has no friends that play Pokémon go so no friends to trade with. He doesn’t make much money and works on Saturdays so no 3 hour community days and cant afford to go to another city to play. He definitely can’t fly to other country’s for community days.

I feel like they jus lowkey greedy like every time the make the game harder like with salandit ? How am I supposed to get a female salandit fisrt if all we need like stop which are a problem in my area already then hope it’s a team rocket poke stop then waste items to heal my Pokémon after the fight … do that 7 times to finally get a 12k egg THEN be lucky to get a salandit and even luckier to get a female. That’s just stupid

It’s pretty laughable we see players talking about “Spoofers” as the main form of cheating. You guys need to realize that even if you perform Quick Catch (letting the berry/ball button go after you throw the Pokeball) is considering a break in Terms of Service. Quick Catching is NOT a feature intended by Niantic, and if you do this you are intentionally giving yourself an advantage by skipping time.

Spoofing is only bad when said players take gyms down uncessarily and put multi accounts on those gyms, leaving no space for their own team players! But wai that can be done without spoofing apps really, just 3 phones and 6 accounts, you can make a red/blue/yellow gym all for ONE person!
SOooo I dont think spoofing is the problem really!
They actually help other players getting pokemons and shinies that niantic themsleves keep their players from, for example the last global GO fest x Berlin GO fest! A slap to our faces tbh
