if i live where so many pokestops,gyms and community i dont need spoof. i play this game when it started after 2 years i start spoof because i live very rural area no gym no pokestops and no community i didnt get any single legendaries in this 2 years and i leave the game for while. than i came back and start spoofing its feel so good playing this game where community and join gym raids. You can say u dont need spoof cuz remote raid thing but i join so many 2 people with 5 star raid and lose so many money. where i spoof now there is so many people i can join any raiıd . what niantic should do make spoof legalize and give everyone option if u want play the game remotely give palyers 1x xp 1x stardust but if u play game outside 5x xp 5x stardust.

Banning spoofers seems great. Multi accounting feels dumb to ban people for. I have a younger sister with no phone so I let her make an account to play on my phone. If I get banned for that I will never play this game again.

If they ban spoofer cheats then they should ban auto catcher cheats and phone shaker cheats too all in one go! Its all non sense really its a computer game and i guess youtubers get the shats because most try and travel and look legit when they really know its all fraud? Heres the part i think ppl may want to hear… if they want to fix spoofing announce to the public they are about to crack down so ppl can stop doing it. Make it very clear IN GAME. If after thats still ignored terminate account cheaters and its as simple as that no exceptions. Otherwise option b is its just a computer game right? Let the games go on?

Niantic can’t even get the game to work properly half the time, I doubt they’ll be able to make some mass bans!!! Spoofing doesn’t hurt anyone, it makes it lore fun since Niantic likes to region lock Pokémon!

And as for the maps aspect? Their is no way they would be able to track websites people visit that are maps or not. They do that and then they get to deal with a whole other privacy issue

Nothing like trying to do everything to wipe out the whales while also doing everything they can to screw over the average player. They won’t fix server issues, they won’t fix GBL, they won’t fix anything, but they will happily nerf the shiny rate so we have a “sense of pride and accomplishment” over a single shiny or will go after families who walk around together. Niantic won’t suffer because they have moved more than half the company into data acquisition and they can’t sell spoofed data. Pretty soon we will find that Niantic is monitoring EVERYTHING that happens on our phones, including off app, like banking etc. What we have found is that parks are no longer great areas for community days and areas with a lot of shops that generate data for niantic to sell to anyone who will throw a nickel at them are becoming the better areas to play.

Niantic should focus investing in fixing the lag instead of getting rid of spoofers. The game is already broken as it is. Even if there wasn’t any cheater in the game. Not everyone lives in a highly populated city and has a good income to speend hundreds of dollars in a year to have advantages. Its well know Niantic is a money grab company and those who can afford it will always have the advantage. If Niantic decides to close spoofers accounts, it would be doing them a favor because they won’t ever be able to catch up with the rest of the players. If rural players can’t cheat they basically can’t play at all.
