I am in nyc and i can confirm that there is alot of people doing this for shadow raids they are always full no matter how much time is left even in places with nobody around

I live in a medium-sized city. However, due to the nerfs of remote raids, and raising prices, the number of people playing the game has decreased significantly.

Despite several groups on Facebook, almost no one attends events anymore. Spoofers save the ass of anyone who wants to participate in raids, but can’t, because we no longer have active players. Even with the full strength of our group (or rather what was left of it) we were not able to raid SM2.

Paradoxically thanks to spoffers, honest players have a chance to play this game at all.

Spoofing only becomes unfair when they do things in game that affect legit players, ie gym defending and GBL. If they aren’t attacking gyms or playing GBL they aren’t really affecting anyone else’s gameplay they are essentially just collectors that assist in raids which can actually help legit players. I only have an issue with spoofers when they hit gyms and use their spoofed hundo to play GBL, as long as they don’t do those 2 things they aren’t a problem

You absolutely can’t blame people! They’ve nerfed amazing qol changes from the pandemic into the ground!. Remote raids and online communities shattered and destroyed by niantic! Shadow raids excluding rural players locking them to local raids is very hurtful. All bonuses taken away incense nerfed into the ground spawn rates terrible. So yeah I don’t blame anyone spoofing! The game has become unplayable and inaccessible thanks to all the nerfs it’s all on Niantic!

Why are you creating a gas lighting conversation for what reason.. i spoff ..i never hurt no one.. you complain about being a rual player .. complain about the nerfs niantic made for you.. because i wont sit there and take it from noantic and play the game the way it should have been made in the first place .. welp thats on you and you can cry and cry and cry. But at the end of the day. Were the reason the game still is viable. 😅 so you should be saying thank you instead of cursing us.. didnt you just go to san Francisco to play.. ya nxt time save your money and spoof bud. 😅

I used to really dislike spoofers. But after the remote raid pass nerfs, sometimes playing with spoofers is the only way I’m going to be able to have enough trainers to defeat a raid boss. I *still* haven’t been able to raid Shadow Articuno, for example. My experience has been, as I and MANY others predicted, that the rules followers were going to have a more difficult time getting the numbers to defeat raid bosses. Niantic setting Shadow raids to “in person only” was really a slap in the face after the nerf.

We saw some filthy spoofers who are taking out gyms. Niantic prob won’t do anything. I did send them a request in app. I bet they will be met with deaf ears.

Spoofing is a issue here because they camp certain gyms in Bakersfield. It’s a hassle on csub campus especially when your own team has the same players filling up a gym and they kick you out just so they can fill up the gym by spoofing. That being said Niantic has fumbled this problem consistently the game will continue to have this problem and us legit players here have a lot of frustration when it comes to holding certain gyms because of infamous spoofers.

Every now n again I’ll open up the game but I can’t find myself playing the game as much as I used to, hunting hundos and shines where fun but with no incentive it’s just boring

I’m fine with people spoofing if they don’t take gyms. It’s so annoying when you see all the spoofers take your gyms you have to walk a lot for.

This game is wildly unfair across the globe and forces you to risk bad weather, sketchy situations and waste a lot of gas. It’s fun at a park on community day with friends, but it’s horrible to create an intentionally addictive game that CONSTANTLY puts what you want out of reach. I played legit for years….now I spoof. Sue me. I don’t battle people or need to take over gyms (I can go to any small town and add my pokemon into always empty gyms…it’s getting them OUT that’s the problem…lol)
Niantic makes 100’s of millions off spoofers but “pretends” that we are some kind of awful criminal…lol
They should build and all spoofing mirror version of the PG and let us play how we want to, but that’s the problem they are insane about forcing people to play the way THEY want you to play. Most games have cheat codes so you can play how you want to. I win the lottery and I’m building an ALL spoofing game for people that just want to explore and find cute little creatures around the world…lol

This is all I know. No one is on campfire and I can’t get people to do shadow raids. Don’t blame these people for doing this but I will not do it. Naintic needs to make changes for people that can’t get people to raid
