The fact that even back then Brandon tan was the #1 player in the world and John hanke had no idea who he was, shows the disconnect that upper management has at niantic with its player base. Brandon should be treated like f‘’king royalty. But the ceo has no clue who he is. Sad

In 2020 I got permanently banned from niantic’s wayfarer, without getting any warning, mail or anything, and when I asked for the reasons why I got banned they told me my pokemon go account linked to wayfarer was subject to punishments, but I’ve never been warned/suspended/banned in pogo, so I don’t know what is wrong and I can’t recover my wayfarer account (and increase its medal in pogo) 🤦‍♀️

I got a shadow ban for spoofing because I would teleport to hundos and unowns because they were rare at the time. I thought I was safe on my main account because I only spoofed in my local area or when it was Raining and I got injured and had to stay home. That first ban wave most of my friends got it worse and got Banned for a month.
I never felt like spoofing ever again.
