You can meet people finding local groups at social media and there’s other ways too. Leave the remote raids for people that have literally no one to plays with …

Before remotes, I got pretty much one of every raid boss whenever I could manage to find enough people around. I didn’t talk to these people, just saw them in the gym because going up to random strangers to ask if they’re playing is so instrusive, especially if you’re an adult and they are/have kids. It didn’t make a community. It just made things harder.

Dude, if you check out the Singapore map its literally covered with pokemon stops and gyms. Most rural area’s have like 3 stops and it sucks. I have to travel at least 35 minutes to find a decent town which I do on community days etc but as a daily player its lame AF.

I definitely see both sides of things. Players that simply don’t have the local community to do raids are going to be left behind. However, I just started playing the game again after a two year hiatus. While I’m enjoying the game, raids are next to impossible for me because most people already have their own groups that they remote raid with, so it’s almost impossible to find new people in person to raid with.

i remote raid a lot. I also meet up with my pogo group a lot. why can’t people do both? why cant people have a choice to remote or raid in person. no limits! same with hoenn tour…why cant we play a paid global event? why cant we have the choice to play a free one or pay for a global event? limiting anything in this game will fucking kill this game.

Not everybody can go out and raid with their free passes, especially in worse areas like where I live where I don’t feel safe enough to go out and walk around to raid. It’s not worth it for me and that’s why I think that this feature would be stupid for somebody like me.

I disagree with you remote raids should have no limits
this is the same as trying to remove the covid bonuses Niantic needs to let people play Pokémon Go however they want

I never did raids before because no one plays around. The only person that can play with me is my younger brother. I don’t have IRL friends to play with. My friend too is in the same situation. For me it would be a huge L because raiding allowed me to catch lots of Pokémons I couldn’t have got with those.

It doesn’t affect me. I’m lucky to do 1 or 2 raids a day, let alone 6.
Those 1 or 2 a day are usually solo 1 or 3 star.
Raiding is dead in my area.
I know people play because the same people kick me out of the gym all the time. But you won’t see them raiding. I still don’t have Hoopa Unbound, to put it in perspective, despite all my efforts.

But to be perfectly honest, XL candy might get the hardcore players out there, but it’s not gonna get your average player out there. The average player aren’t playing battle league unless it’s giving you rewards. Even the stardust isn’t tempting. They’re just collecting. The raids need to drop things like incubators, incense and lures. Things people would use to go out and collect more.
But since the average player won’t do heaps of raids, it makes sense to maybe make the daily pass drop those types of items, and the other pass give you more XL candy

This will not make new communities form, thats a BS excuse and a cope! I’ve been playing since the beginning and absolutely no one raided in person in my city/town, they either spoofed or traveled into Boston to do the raids. That’s why I had to do the latter pre pandemic in order do anything in the game. Doing this is NOT gonna magically make new local communities form if they didn’t back when the raids first came out!!!

First time in awhile tbh that I don’t agree with one of your takes. Don’t nerf something that works, incentivize in-person raiding. XL rare candy drop rate is already barely noticeable so let’s start there. Also this greatly affects those with disabilities as well as rural players. Just some things to think about.
