remote raid is my only hope for raiding.😮💨 There only me and my two friend play together. So every time I want raid I need world wide palyer for join with me by poke raid or poke jinie.. I will stop playing this game if remote raid got remove
😠
If I can’t remote raid, then I’ll either spoof or stop playing. It’s an absolutely integral feature for players in rural areas
Thanks for the good sum up video.
On the last point you mention, I think it is possible that Niantic might start to add this kind of limits to protect their player, as for now the video game industry can be as cruel as possible on the gambling mechanism in their game (compare to casino where there is regulation on the average winning odds for instance) but this situation might change and companies that are too greedy toward their player base might fell under huge fine from legal authorities.
So I would not be surprised that this kind of limitation to prevent and help against gambling addiction will be added to the game.
Personally I agree with you that a weekly maximum number of raid , or a daily count that can be accumulated would be more suitable to my way of playing than a daily caps.
But I m pretty sure that I could play around a daily cap as well.
Niantic is stupid. Just nerf the rewards from remote raid passes severely, but let people freaking play!! jfc i swear the people that work at niantic are seriously low IQ af, including the retarded CEO. Nerf rewards from using remote passes, then buff in person rewards raids slightly. Decreasing the amount of remote raids is just stupid. Remote raids encourages people to want to play and spend money to play, why is retarded niantic purposely trying to decrease their income. Soo stupid.
Try playing living in a rural place dude. Not all of us can see a pokestop/gym if we open our app sitting at the kitchen table. We have to drive 30+ miles to get to a small town with 3 gyms and 10 pokestops. These areas might have 20 players in a 100 mile radius from them. Add in a 10 hour real job (not youtube) 5 days a week during peak raid times, 2 feet of snow, and below freezing temperatures for 5 months of the year…. not so easy to grind. Theres a reason youre number one, you have ideal conditions. Limiting it to 10 is fine but anything below that is not cool for some of us, we can’t play every day at night after work.
Don’t really care about the 6 raids a day limit, what hits way harder is the price increase, so that when I eventually decide that I want a good IV Legendary it’s just that much more expensive.
I don’t have a local community, I am basically the only one left in my shitty little village still playing the game, im not driving to the next town for raids.
Don’t fuck me and all the other rural players over, please.
I play this game because it motivates me to go for a walk everyday, they already took away the good incubator boxes, not raids as well please.
Niantic need’s to stop fixing the perfectly fine things, they’ve had no problem with the remote raid pass system in the past, and they have no problem now. There are many bugs in the game that need to be fixed and they choose to work on this? Very poor decision.
nah that shit sweet they gotta keep it in
Honestly your say doesn’t mean much, this doesn’t apply to you, Not everyone can do what Brandon does, walk around and invite people from his friends list to raid. This isn’t going to affect Brandon at all but it will affect everyone else that don’t have friends and live in a rural area. I’ll never spend money on this dogshit game again
I played this game hard. Spent way too much money on it too. But Niantic is killing themselves. The game is supposed to get people outside and interact but it doesn’t work in way too many places. If you’re not earning money for playing or live in a big city, this game is dead. And then there’s the lack of time. 4 out of 7 days I cannot find the time to actually play the game. A 15 minute walk around the block gets me nothing but the same pidgeys Ive been seeing in 2016. And there’s no pokestops to refill my bag. Taking away/limiting things like remote raid passes, or pokestop spinning distance, … Is so bad for all this.
This is a bad take. Not everyone lives in an area where meet ups are even possible or a thing. Some people live an areas that are cold for half the year. Not everyone can take the time out of the day for multiple hours to do raid meet ups. This also will give spoofers a massive advantage. This would be Niantic biggest mistake and if it goes through might kill Pokémon go.
I don’t feel I want to play anymore as I’m disabled and can’t walk much I try my best to go out and about but most of the time I can’t as I’m very limited on my walking as I can’t walk far I feel unhappy that it’s changing
Niantic doesn’t care about people playing together, all they care about is money
It’s like niantic doesn’t realize that there are some people that only get 2 months of nice weather and every other month is too cold to want to walk around and play, they’re literally going to make some people suffer if they want to go raiding in the cold, dogshit company
I’m like Brandon, I’m torn. I live in a suburb, nearest stop is a block away (ooh far!!), three gyms visible from my house. I do a lot of remote raids now, and will I be upset that niantic is limiting the amount of money I spend on the game? uh, I guess not. Maybe if it’s a poke I want, like groudon (still hunting for a hundo), then yeah. I stopped shiny chasing, too disappointing when I don’t get one (looking at you heracross), so it would really limit my raiding and hence, my playing sitting on my butt. I do agree, for rural players whose nearest gym is a drive away, or players with true mobility issues, it’s bad, but I also do miss the large gatherings when doing raids, meeting with fellow players, friending up new people, trading when I see them (got 126 lucky friends now, would like to knock that down some). It would mean me driving more if I’m working from home, gyms spaced too far apart to walk from one to the next during raid hour, and some gyms have really crappy cell tower coverage where I can’t really join the raid due to connection issues (turn off wifi, maybe works but sometimes not)
The thing to remember is, there are also disabled players that want to raid, but can’t go to in person events. There are people who are still high risk to exposure to COVID all over the world, that can’t get together in large groups.
You also don’t mention anything about the fact that for Niantic, they make a far greater amount of money from selling location data based on people going out, swiping gyms/stops, scanning, etc. So saying that this might be showing “they aren’t focused on money” is a bit naive or disingenuous.
I would be more angry at Niantic reducing the damage done with remote raiding instead of simply capping the number of remote raids done per day. There is already a hard cap on the number of people who can be in a remote raid in any one lobby, and that damage hit would be a bigger handicap the less people there are.
I like the way you thought at 24:00< On the increment remote passes. I think it wouldnt be as much of a "risk?" to not remote for a day than if you had 6 daily regardless of using them prior.
as for one who dont get affected by it at all, an really only use them if i got them for free, I dont really care if the limit, increase prize or remove them, I like the Go of the game an go out an meet an talk with players that I otherwise dont meet.
like how you take it an see both sides.
Love you an love your face.
I’m antisocial. I just don’t like meeting with people I don’t know and having a stranger approach me is one of my worst nightmares when I’m raiding in person. I get what they’re trying to do, but isolating people like me isn’t a solution.
