I’ve seen multiple people mention that Niantic benefits more from getting your location data than any money they will lose out on by making these changes. Wow! Maybe we should be more concerned about them tracking us than playing the game? Hmm

My office is a 10 minute walk from the nearest pokestop and 30 mins walk to the one gym, where on my lunch bream there might be a raid, there might not. In any case, there would be zero players there even if everyone that plays in the village were to show up, because given the gym changeover there are none. Great after you work in the city, walk another block. No city, you could walk 20km and not find anyone in any case,,,

Hacking/flying is bad for multiple reasons and it ruins the game for everyone. I’d say +50% of LatAm players do this.

Hey Brandon, that recommendation of the passes gathering up then having a rest period, I can get behind that idea as i believe that will level it out, you can plan more for certain pokemon/events

It was remote raids that really brought me back to the game! I work 9-6 everyday so I miss out on most of the peak hours. Oh, did I mention I live in Alaska?! Yeah NO ONE is out doing local raids let alone in winter 😤 also way safer imo. I remember being down in Seattle one year watching people run around like idiots about raids.. in the end too, they make so much money on these things so why cut them back??? Whack.

I play in an area where not many people do, I’m only level 42 and my partner is 41, there is no way we could take a legendary or a mega ourselves. It would completely ruin the game for us, as well as we have no gyms really nearby so it isn’t gonna be great to play anymore ):

It’s a high of -24*C (-31*C with the wind-chill) today. Literally freezing. We can’t easily go out for a few hours to play. Even 5 minutes outside in these temperatures is risky. Limiting our remote raids will severely impact players in colder climates.

I would probably stop playing if they did remove remote raid passes because there aren’t enough people in my area to do legendary/mega/primal raids

Man talking about local raids. Where I live I have only 4 to 6 gyms I rarely get raids.

If they do this they will need to add a lot more gyms and raid spots to rural areas to make the game fair for everyone.😊

All you guys out there saying that remote raids are cutting down player activity are mistaken. Local raid participation dropped off prior to Covid and the remote pass introduction. So much so that the TINY POGO community in my rural area had shrunken dramatically PRE Covid lockdowns to the point taking down 5 Star raids was seriously difficult. Blame the game for losing players (not fixing the 100s of Bugs) and shrinking your community, not remote raids. Also the introduction of GBL Jan 2020 Pre any Covid lock downs also stopped a lot of people going outside to raid, 2020/2021 got those players Invested in GBL and most of those players still have the same mindset which is: Why go outside when i can sit in the warmth and play GBL, do the odd remote raid and grind only events? The community has shrunk for 3 reasons. Yes remote raids is one of those but BUGS causing players to quite and GBL are 2 more

Remote raiding is close to my only option to ever get any 5* raid bosses or difficult megas, cos I am a rural player, (occasionally I go into bigger cities, but not that often) there is no community to talk about around where I live, I have 2 gyms close by. One that I can see. When the weather is bad I use remote raiding as a way the raid for the day. I mainly collect coins from defending gyms, and that it will be even more difficult to get enough coins for 1 remote pass is b*s. It will take 3 day sto get enough coins for 1 raid. All people in the same situation as me will have a difficult time raiding anything harder than 3* raids if this comes into effect. So we will be excluded from a major part of the game, only because of where we live.

Raid hours suck. I am ALWAYS at work during them. So remote raids allow myself and everyone else that CAN NOT be there still participate. We also love the game and want to complete hunts and such as well. Also it cost money to travel around town trying to complete raids. Cost 20-50$ in gas alone to run around to do 2-4 raids MAYBE. Or 2-4$ to remote and save all that time?

So they are going to add a premium subscription plan to allow for more/unlimited raids? Either way they are going to lose a lot of money lol. Sometimes when I am in a grinding mood I will do 10-20 raids in one outing before just doing a casual 3-5 raids here and there.
