I 100% agree the game has changed. We used to go out raiding in our little town … now we do it far less… all since remote passes.
So what is really happening is the cheaters are making the non cheaters pay more and get penalized. And they keep on cheating
In person raids are great if you have a job where you can go out and raid all the time. Some of us live in the real world where we have real jobs and if we don’t raid this way we will never get any 5 star. And also not all of us live in cities where there are a gazillion gyms and a gazillion trainers. If I don’t connect with my remote raid group friends, I get no legendries.
Raising the price while keeping by them unlimited feels like a better compromise vs. limiting the number. At the same time, they should reduce the cost of in-person passes. This would incentivize people to do in person to get a better bang for their buck (and makes it easier for FTP players to join raids).
Too many players rely on these passes to have any chance to get a raid boss. It somewhat balances the unfair nature of Pogo (rural vs. city, cities with no connected community, extreme cold and weather, etc)
Randomly got into one of your rayquaza raids like an hour and a half ago
Silph road needs to end their remote pvp playing as well.
with these nerfs coming, i will probably stop raiding since i live in remote area where raiding in person is almost impossible to be done. niantic just keep shafting all of us remote players
I live rural, really rural…. There are 2000 people in my village. There’s not even a lot of pokestops, if I go for a one-hour walk I will find 4 gyms and about 9 pokestops. I have arthritis and cannot walk far, so usually I’m on my bicycle. The removal of remote raids would make me quit the game…. I have met some other people in other villages, and we often use remote raids to join together, or we meet in real life.
This is why I don’t understand why remote raids would kill the local communities. Local communities can decide to remote raid together. Here, when two people from one village need help from someone in the other villages, those will join per remote raid. I understand why it would maybe be different in big cities, but I feel like pokemon go is already putting rural players at a huge disadvantage. If rural people get better spawns or pokestops in rural areas would give more items, that would be great…. However it seems money is made in the big city, and rural players are not important.
I hate this new feature, and will stop playing. Because I have to forget about legendaries… I cannot farm shadow pokemon because of a lack of pokestops. And now they will take legendaries from me….. Just because I don’t live in a big city.
This will kill the Raid Apps. What should the people without a group do now?
so when they remove remote raids then i will never ever can do raids again
Social anxiety is very real. Let people who want to meet meet! But have the remotes for those who can’t cope in groups. If they’re limiting it should be atleast 20 a day I do lots
So I work 6 days a week, doing 10 hour shifts, I have a family and we have no friends and no one locally plays. So everyday I’ve got a 30 minute window where I can remote raid but I love doing it.
I really hope theirs no change.
Where I live ive never seen one person raid a gym lol so remote raid is the only way to raid around here.
Decisions like this will force players to invest their money and time into Niantic’s competitors… hope this does not happen.
Imagine how many more spoofers will come if they actually go through with this lol
Being a free to PLAY PLAYER I think it will not effect me and the other FREE TO PLAY PLAYERS
I think Niantic want to players to meet and play the raid ithink for this people are agree like 50 50 it’s good on this way but it’s also bad in its way
Isn’t this going to hurt their bottom line?
I think everyone needs to look at this from the perspective of the disabled, rural, parents with young children communities perspective more. This nerf hurts us more than remote raids hurts the well-bodied,city living, childless people. Does it stink that communities have shrunk? Yes. However, you’re still able to play regularly, you just see less people. Taking away or severely reducing remotes effectively prevents the disabled, rural, parent players from raiding at all. To me, it’s just selfish to prioritize wanting to see people over people’s ability to even play.
Brandon, in my city we have -3 F degree weather and are about to get 23 inches of snow.
I want to participate in Rayquaza raids, but I cannot risk going out in a blizzard to do so. This update would make it so that players in extreme weather either risk their lives for a game, or don’t play the game at the same level as other players. That feels incredibly unfair when players in other cities can raid in-person with less risk.
