just spoof at this point
Niantics approach to capitalism is truly a fascinating one.
Imagine doing in person raids in 45 degree celsius weather from April till September. Goodbye seems to be ineveitable!
Niantic doesn’t realize they’re killing their game remote raids are the best thing to ever be added to pokemon go
The remote raid pass should be free or may be very less costly,
upto 10 pokecoin for 1 remote raid pass
I actually don’t mind limiting remote raids. While remote raids are great for those in rural areas and to be able to shiny hunt/grind candy for Pokémon, and even on rare occasions get regional exclusive raid bosses. It also takes away the community and exploration aspect of the game. I think limiting it to six or seven or something like that it fine amount that should happen. However the increase cost of remote raids is a huge no go. It takes the average player two days to do even one remote raid and the increase would make it three. This is a huge decrease for the average player and hurts there ability to do raids. Especially when they can only do one free raid a day. You would have to increase the amount of free raids a day to promote more community
Obvious critique here: BrandonTan – plays the game full time, has money and time to travel across the world to meet people: YOU SHOULD PLAY IN PERSON
Me – Full Time office job and 2 young kids (ages 4 and 1.5)….I barely have time to take a shower, when the heck am I going to have time to do an in person raid
Niantic have such a serious disconnect with the community, they just do what they think is best from a “Vision” standpoint and lose more of the community each time. Why do they think they have to nerf things for people to use other stuff? This game is horrible Locally, Remote raiding is the only thing the majority of the community have these days.
Why not have a matchmaking or raid group finder. If I am out exploring and find a legendary gym I would like to raid, but there is no on nearby. Why shouldn’t I be able to raid with other pogo players across the world on the same situation? No one in this situation is sitting in their house raiding nonstop.
yeah 3 per day is good idea
but 150 coins per remote raid that’s rascality, shit
Tbh I don’t mind the change as long as they don’t raise the price and nerf the damage, doing all three would just kill remotes. Remotes are great for winter. Seems like niantic only wants us to play in the summer lol
I usually agree with what you say, but with this I don’t. And I watched the entire video. The issue is, it isn’t 2016 any more. And their is little to no point to not remote raid. I’ve traveled the US and played PoGo, my old job had my play in dozens of cities, and I’ve done 30-50 raids in a day in person before remotes, and just as many with remotes… MY record is 130 almost raaids between in person and nremoting, during the last UB event. But at the end of the day, remote raids make this game eaiser and not such a waste. I HATE waiting at a gym for 5-10 minutes a raid. I stand in a spot wasting my time, when I can remote raid and continue towards another gym. The rewards are nearly the same, you have a “chance for XL rare candy” which is just way to low. Niantic is trying to grow this game as a AR company, when most of us play this game because we love pokemon, we don’t love or want the AR part. I will say… I did like communities and seeing people, but times have changed the last nearly 7 years and in most cities this doesn’t happen any more. In the past 18 months, i’ve struck up less conversations than I can count on one hand while raiding in person, because people just aren’t the same that they were when the game came out, or even when raids started. When raids first came out it was nice, but after a few months it dropped outside of a huge city. Regardless, we all have our opinions and can agree to disagree, but the decision just isn’t smart of Niantic, but I guess we have to wait and see… However, from what Niantic has shown us in the past, more than likely remotes will be coming to an end soon…
I don’t believe this at all in my area. There are some pokemon go players that take the game way too seriously and And will fight you if you are not on time for the raid and we’ll go be on that to the point where we have had to call the police. Remote rating is better if you cannot tolerate the group you’re with leave. Normally people realize they’re being very extra with the game and come back with a better attitude when they realize no one else is in a fighting mood about the. Pokemon Game. And this particularly goes to people who try to sell pokemon online. Or whatever they’re doing to make money from the game. There are the ones who are overly passionate about this game. And I’m not that kind of person I’m a casual player. So this remote raised situation allows me to be able to play the game without having to get the police involved. And I say this knowing full well. I have put over 5 people in jail because of how serious they got about the game. There are 5 people sitting in prison because they decided that I arrived late and that meant they wanted to fight. In the public park. Remote raid should stay to keep peace. This game is not that serious. Everybody should remember this is just a game and it’s not worth your life.
back in 2017 the game sucked there was no to raid with or to inv lmfao i really hope they dont do this because this will hurt the game
Yeah no. Going out to coordinate in-person raids is not going to happen for us rural players. There just simply isn’t enough interest to take down tougher 5* bosses (if there is any interest newrby at all) and we actually have to burn a lot more time (and gas money) to get to the few gyms that are otherwise, very close-by for city people.
And making it more expensive to get viable 5* pokemon through a gradually increasing remote raid pass cost isn’t a solution either. It just going to rob more people of their money, which will then eventually get to the point of where we won’t spend on the game anymore because other life necessities need the $$ more. Not being able to do activities just means playing the game less overall.
L take
I agree with you. It’s a double edge sword. I am a father that works overnights and odd jobs to support my family. I don’t get the best opportunity to get together. But when you break it down, it makes much more sense. Thank you.
Wonder what mystic7 will do on streams then
The rare candy xl rates are pitiful
This change would not help revive in person raiding. The average person does not want to/have time to go around searching for a bunch of in person raids every day. People have jobs and other obligations. A lot of people have to raid at night because that’s the only time they can do it, and so they do remote raids. Most people are not suddenly going to start going out to raid because of this. They will just quit or spoof instead. Plus, in my personal experience, there are people around here I wouldn’t feel safe or comfortable interacting with. Not everyone is a nice or friendly PoGo player, there are many toxic people who play this game and we should not be forced to interact with them. Finally, this would make raiding apps so much harder to use because there will be much fewer people available to fill lobbies. Thus, many players will once again be completely frozen out of being able to obtain legendaries.
