Some of us live where there’s ice through out the year. I’d rather play and use my time the way I want to, not be coerced in how Niantic wants it done. No reason they should take RP away, if you want to do an in person, then just DO an in person raid. Not everyone wants to meet everyone.

I think that is fair to increase the price of the remote pass due to the fact that it makes raiding so much easier. However, as a rural player for half of my time playing, I will find myself doing a lot of remote raids for XL candy on legendaries, and limiting this would not allow me to get enough candy XL to max a certain legendary. No matter what I will still play the game however, I will probably only Pvp and catch pokemon.

You know some of us don’t even have someone to walk around & play spotlight hours with, let alone raid. I’ve played since 2016….I’ve met 5!people locally since then. YES 5. 3 of which I met this year in 2023 😅. Literally need passes to play with my friends from Instagram, Twitter, Discord ect…. I’d LOVE to have a little group of friends that play but unfortunately my friends don’t play 😕 & I’m someone that plays everyday, I walk my buddies, hit the gyms ups, battle grunts, everything the list goes on. But some of us just don’t have these in-person PoGo friendship groups.
I’m not too bothered though tbh seeing as I don’t raid daily. But forcing people to go meet strangers is a little much. I don’t wanna approach someone random man that looks like he may be playing PoGo 😆😆
It’s not broken so just leave it I say. Either that or they need to do something to bring more people together. I.E a special pokemon that spawns ONCE in the gym & you HAVE to be there in person! At a specific time ! That way we can actually meet people locally.
P.S I think this is the longest thing I’ve ever wrote on social media 🤣 thanks Niantic

Remember when they introduce remote rating they had a lot more people started playing the game again. If they remove remote writing they will remove a large number of people who just started playing the game again and they will also lose money and revenue. There is 1% of players that don’t like remote rating and the rest of us enjoy it. So you’re gonna lose out on money and customers because one Percent of people don’t like it. I guarantee you I guarantee you that 1% will quit the game after they notice. Everybody else stops playing. The game is not fun if your friends and family don’t wanna play anymore. So you’re gonna lose out our money to make 1% of people happy? And then I’m not going to be happy anyway and you’re gonna lose them too pokemon go will end?

As an every day player but also a full time employee, it’s hard to find time to play out and about with my community. Remote raids help me get the Pokémon I need when I need it. I do love getting out and playing with friends the most but Pokémon go isn’t everyone’s job like yours…

As a Black man that has two kids and lives in the U.S., remote passes is the safest way for us to play. We have 2 pokestops near us that we use for spotlight and community days. Doing remote raids is costly but its a awesome bonding experience for me and the kids. If this goes away it will be all over. I refuse to spoof as cheating is not what I teach me kids to do under any circumstances.

All I can say is that living in Australia (in a not so Pokestop/Gym filled area), i’ll put up with the blistering heat for community days but.. raids??
I get enough sunburns from the big events, idk how I’d feel risking that just to walk 10 minutes+ between gyms for timed events y’know??

That Luvdisc event had me walking 15km just to get 3 shinies from 20+ stops…

EDIT: I should also mention that remote raiding is what actually brought me into the PoGo community and why I have 50+ friends in the game that i gift and invite to raids or get invites from, mostly 1 stars too.
I’ve played since launch, fell off a bit around 2019/2020, but seeing youtubers remote raid and talk about the latest news got me excited. (without mentioning the Vivillon in the room either)

On average I use 1 to 6 but 90% of the time I use zero. The other 10% of the time I do 20 plus. so far today I have done 8.

So the question is, is Niantic shaping this game only for extrovert? Introverts wouldn’t prefer to go out and meet people no matter the conditions. Some would even rather quit if one day, going out is the only way to play. The reality is, instead of making introverts go out, Niantic will push more people to play the game dishonestly, spoofing.

If they make more changes to remote raid I will quit playing the game entirely the only reason I play the game anymore so they take that away I will just quit

I hear exactly what u are saying.. I see a lot of posts saying no community for rural areas.. It’s not just rural area. I live in the Bronx.. NYC. If it wasn’t for remote raiding I would only have 1 legendary.. Elite raids, nope never done one, why… Well no community going to gyms.. Just not rural issue..
