i live in a place that you dont see people playing on the streets, is not even safe to do it where i live, i dont even like to talk to strangers to do a raid, sometimes we go to play with some friends, but we all have jobs and obligations you know xD we can do it like 1 or 2 times a month. i am very lucky to have a gym at my job, so i play there and get my 50 coins sometimes, i am a f2p player becouse if i buy coins, its in dollars and have to pay 85% more with taxes and its already more expensive without those taxes for the converting of money from dollars to my country coin. so its really unfair to play on the conditions for my country. so.. niantic let me play the game on a way that its already difficult, and stop making more imposible, dammit

Want to incentivize local raiding? Make local raids have boosted shiny chance and with a chance of giving more poffins/incubators/rare candy/XL candy or even a rare chance to give you back the free extra daily pass

Nerfing and limiting remote raiding is not the move and in the long term will have its consequences unfortunately

Before remote raids, I had actual friends in the game, people I’d recognize and chat about life with. I’d meet new people and chat with them. I haven’t seen any of them since the pandemic, and now I just have a bunch of Legendary Pokemon from far away places and a whole long list of lucky friends I’ll probably never trade with. Yes, it’s kind of a sad change. The problem is, it’s never going back the way it was. I’m never again going to drive around to raids and hope people show up, even if there are aspects of that I miss. If they try to force things back the way they were it’s just going to piss people off.

if they care more about the players, and not about the money, add the raid limit, and don’t change the price, IT’S EASY. This argument of “people just remote raid, so you cant meet new friends at the raids” that’s a bit easy to say when you live in safe places, I can’t even catch pokemon when walking on the streets here, IT’S FUCKING DANGEROUS, and even without it, there’s nobody playing this shit here anyway, so basically I’d have to solo every raid. THIS SHIT IS A JOKE

defending niantic nerfing remote raids is a CLOWN TAKE… this will not bring back local raids just like Elite Raids didn’t… this will just serve to kill the game faster by making the most dedicated players like myself quit. 🤡

I’ve started playing the game 4 months ago and I’ve never met anyone, not because I use remote raids, because there aren’t community features in the game. How the fuck do I know if someone is playing pogo 3 meters from me without eavesdropping? Will I ask 20 people what they’re doing on their phone. Fuck no.

You’re spending a lot of time talking about how you, a person who’s job is to play Pokemon Go, don’t see this change as a problem. You should talk more about how this will affect people with full time jobs or classes; we are the vast majority of the player base.
Not only that, but not everyone lives in a place like Singapore where the weather is safe and comfortable all year round.

I like Pokémon go but I stopped playing. I reached level 41 and found it to be repetitive and to no end. I used to do crazy thing to get Pokémon. I would be out in a winter storm, go to the park for community day around and around trying to get the perfect Dratini, but it has come to an end for me. I feel it’s a waste of time spent as it just continues and continues. It’s just like when I was younger and spent days and days playing video games. Yes it was fun but the time I can never get back and I see now I could have used it for things that matter. Just my thoughts

This sounds like the worst business idea niantic has ever had. They really said we don’t need everyone’s money anymore and don’t want to continue to get extra amount from others who will pay for it. This idea they have just encourages everyone to spoof so they can do more raids that aren’t in the area in which they live. I’m surprised that any game would encourage cheating especially a Pokémon game. they never said they are but doesn’t this all just sound like they are giving up on giving the spoofers a reason not to cheat.

As someone who lives in an area where there are a limited amount of gyms, this is a very disheartening change to see. I completely understand your viewpoint where local communities just want to raid in person again, but the locals in my area already dont do any raids outside of raid days. i do a lot of remote raids per day simply because that is the only way for me to even do raids to begin with, and i dont really feel like driving anywhere from 1-2 hrs out of my way just to go to the city for raiding. I wont say that ill completely quit the game with this change, but my playing in general will be way less compared to what it is now if this goes through.

The only thing about limiting remote passes is. Niantic will lose money and people will just make more accounts or spoof.
