Alright, many people are wondering why she is not an Avenger instead.

That’s because Kremhild discovered that Siegfried arranged his own death with the help of Hagen, since it was the best course of action to prevent a war. Now, imagine this: you go to a question to avenge your husband’s death who you loved so much, killing a lot of people in the way and when you finally finishes the man who killed him, you discover your husband was the one who orchestrated his own death. Her entire quest was for nothing. Just imagine how absolutetly frustrated and mad she would be to find out about that. It would drive anyone insane and that’s why she is a Berserker.

She is extremely angry at Siegfried for playing the selfless hero. Based on her bond lines, she still really loves him but she is still very hurt by his actions.
