@GameEdged, The problem that your having is that your vertical supports are not aligned. If you look at time stamp 21:03 you will see that your door has 2 planks on the left then a support and 1 plank on the right then a support. Each foundation has can have a support on the left and right corner. The door example you have a support on the left foundation on the right side of it. On the central foundation where the door is the support is also on the right. If you had put a frame on the left and right side of the central foundation the door would look the same on the left and right side, you would have frame, 1 plank then support. You also wouldn’t need to put extra supports for the walls either side as the two supports on the central foundation would be enough. Sorry that sounds complicated, it is easy to show but difficult to describe. Hope that helps.

Jeez GameEdge, Pay attention to the other beams lol, There is cross beams you were meant to place on top of the wall support beams, Then on the top of the roof you needed beams for support.

Maybe using the 20 degree roof parts would be better. I’ll second the cross beams aswell, put them accross the tops of the walls, and use them to build second floors and roofs so you dont need so many uprights.The dev wanted it to be quite an accurate building style.

1. Place Backpack on the ground, press F allows you to manage items in backpack w/o having to switch bags.
2. Double Tap C allows you to roll if you are overweight to move faster.
3. Alt Shift O, [if you lost your cooking pot bug] select TOOL and the 1st Chinese line item is how you get the pot back, also do not leave pot on the fire or it disappears.
4. Alt Shift O, [if you lost simple parts bug] select MATERIAL and the 29th Chinese line item down is how you get Simple Parts back.
5. To take advantage of cooking food, drag water + food into drumsticks. Example: Drag 2 mushroom and one water it did gives you 40 carbs and 5 strength. Also don’t add 2 meat with 1 water, use 1 meat and 2 water. its a waste otherwise.
6. If u sleep your carbs will go up.

You need to add horizontal beams a long the tops of the vertical beams in order to add in a second floor, so basically you need the horizontal beams as headers.. You can also remove some of the vertical support beams inside and add a long horizontal beam from end to end.

looks like you have the lower carry weight perk… That’s got to be the worst one to have. Personally I would start a new character 40 weight is dumb..

The roof probably has to be removed before you can build the upstairs part. Unless there is a ceiling piece

Instead of so many vertical beams. It looks to be 4X3. If you added it to a 4×4 you could put the 4 corners as vertical beams and put the 4 long horizontal beams. You will eliminate so many vertical beams and it will look cleaner. Utilize the horizontal beams they will change your whole build!

Also horizontal beams will help with the gaps In your roof. The gaps are because your vertical supports are placed on separate areas of the foundations. Each foundation has four points like someone stated.
