Dear GameEdged its so nice to watch your videos, love how you make comments and show everything. I have started to play a game called Out of Reach. I dont know if you heared about the game but its a tough survival game sort like a Stranded Deep and Raft combined with Pirates and Survival Fountain of Youth, so please if you can make some videos of this game I would really appreciated it. So here is a info of the game: ” You’re a castaway stranded in the middle of nowhere. Storm is gone, the worst certainly not. Look for food and resources, craft gear, make shelters. These are the basics, you need much more to stay alive on this cut-off-the-world, yet not desert island. Build & burn, sail & explore, be Out of Reach! ” Cheers bro
oh and maybe save all plant fiber for when you learn tailoring cause it takes a crap tone to make cloth in the tailoring bench, maybe a box just for fiber
Cook water in the fire
and keep an eye on your durability on you cart too, yes unfortunately the cart has a durability bar…it doesn’t seem right but it does
if you had a stick holder lol just saying lol
Drink more Ovaltine! RIBBIT!!!
can you move your fire under the finished roof section?
wow, just no words about the building!!!!!! Personally, I really dislike/hate interior pillars everywhere. I know this game is super early but………………..
Thanks for the interesting morning GameEdged. As always, you are the Best 😍
Malaria only affects your endurance regeneration by half. Other than that I have not seen any stat drops or health affects. So keep the malaria going strong. Lol. Until you get that pot.
You don’t need all those upright beams. You need cross beams. Tops of walls and crossing the length of your house. Supports the 2nd floor and supports the roof
I think it may help to put those end pieces for the top of your roof.
Lol also that very first frame that you showed would be what you’d have to use I think to make a second floor.
In order for you to comple the roof you should put horizontal beams in its kind of support for roof and floor to fit in properly. Keep up wit the great work.
A few things I’ve noticed about building in this game:
– The game’s build system is basically stick-build, akin to how real-life homes are built. Foundations get laid, then structural framing goes up first onto the foundations, then walls, then roof trussing, then roof exteriors. If you try to do it in any other order you’ll make it unnecessarily hard on yourself.
– Scaffolds are _very much_ your friend.
– Vertical pillars are a requirement for structural support but there are horizontal beams that can span wider gaps, although those have to be supported at either end. Horizontal beams are great for building interiors as they can eliminate the need to grid the entire interior with pillars.
– Floors have to sit on, and will only snap to, horizontal beams.
– Vertical pillars align with the insides of foundation corners. However, there are also big pillars that sit onto the junctions of corners of foundations instead of inside the corner of one. The big pillars are basically 2×2 verticals in a single unit.
– Since vertical beams sit inside corners, if a lack of symmetry bothers you, you basically have to use two at every wall seam.
– Roofs have angled beams as well and yes they’re also important for structural support.
– Alignment matters – things have to sit directly atop other things to count as rigid bodies, not next to them.
GameEdged if you make beef jerky put the beef jerky in the firepit and put two waters in the second and third places the you will have something to help
as bad as ark with pillars every 3 spots. way too much support required
you can’t make a pot?
I think you need vertical beams equally spaced for the walls, then place horizontal beams on top of the walls to support the roof. Then cross beams to support roof caps. Build two scaffolding stacked together, then you can drop down on a finished roof piece to work on the rest.
I would build foundations, then “frame” the structure with beams like you would building a real barn, then place walls and roof.
You should watch mace blade’s build tutorial.
Excellent video! The way I built mine, was put a support beam either side of each wall, and a horizontal beam all accorss the edge so the roof pieces snap onto them. Should take about 15/20 mins to build after you collect all materials.
