I like this rendition of St. Denis it takes nothing away from the experience. I like Roy’s Hard copy also this is a modern day standard that is going down in the record books of Jazz History. GO Moore

For the record, I like the Hargrove version a hell of a lot; it packs a ton of energy, groove, and artistry. I play it for people who I want to introduce to jazz. I ALSO like this one; it’s so laidback and the flugelhorn sends me away; a great late-night chill track. I guess I’m weird, though.
