This is no “relaxing music” if you are a musician you will understand what is these all about! That lady plays good but it is a distraction for me to be honest, Jazz is to enjoy and to focus on it!

I love the flugel solo on this piece and never get tired of listening. Nice job Jan and Candy. Jan, you are the Chuck Mangione of Europe. You should do a whole album on flugel.

Candy played for Prince a couple of times so she´s far from terrible. But this version is just somewhat uninspired. Maybe artists should wait longer for a new interpretation of a modern classic as “Strasbourg St. Denis” is.

It doesn’t have the energetic addictive quality of the Hargrove original. But it’s a nice smooth-jazz boat cruise version. I like that people think enough of the original to make their own version. Helps cement Hargrove’s song into history.
