The pianist is excellent, but his attitude at times, more than funny and festive, it seems to me a little too close to disrespect to his colleagues, to the audience and to the Music.

2:46 maybe Roy makes a mistake but covers it with a little bit of improv? If this is the case it blew my mind that the sax player picked up on this and covered it up with another beautiful line of improv. Could be wrong but amazing either way

Hey you notice that the musicians are encouraging the audience to get involved? and then they play with them, introducing their own elements of syncopation to the groove that he audience has built up? It’s almost like they’re professional entertainers who want interaction when playing a musical style that has interaction as one of its core tenets. Huh, crazy.
