I think there’s a fine line between sitting still for 40 minutes and holding W. People say its because they don’t want to lose gear but it really isn’t hard to make money if you know how to do it.

I think the real issue is how tasks and FIR status works. I’ve been merced trying to grab shit in dorms or whatever other shithole (shoreline resort) they send me to its just, hey why not squat down for 30 minutes and go do something else, come back when no ones alive and get this stupid shit over with. The other scenario is, “Hey I found something I need for a task with FIR status, guess I’ll just animorph into a cockroach until it’s safe to leave.” Because Nikita said fuck your shitty secure container, you will play game how I want you to play game.

tbh, i don’t have much time to play this game like it’s meant to be played, so i usually just do some basic missions and once i unlock the flea, i just build some aks and play factory just to fight, i run out of money, do some scav runs and the repeat

Start of wipe is the best, once it gets to M855a1 i leave because its 1 shot city all wipe then as ppl are only getting better stuff an early wipe fights are the best ones when it feels like you have been shot 500 times with 9mm pst and your still going with your lvl 3 armour on

i enjoy both playstyles finding some stupid camping spot parcouring in to it and trying it out is just fun to me but i could never imagine only playing in this way

For us rats the dopamine rush IS the fact that they had no idea we even existed.
It’s almost arousing when you manage to go incognito and kill a duo so quick you can almost *hear* the head scratching from the silent comfort of your own wet, dimly lit rat hole.

Sure, it’s not that exciting but man does it feel good when it happens.

So yeah, basically it’s the fullfiling of some form of autistic/twisted Schadenfreude.

But yeah just sitting still is not good enough. The best feeling while ratting for me is when you get spotted by some Shift+W chads and just run like hell making them *think* you cowardly left while in reality you just hid in an uncommon place and just destroy them while they are looking for you. It doesn’t always go my way but when it does it’s the absolute best.

I don’t understand the mythos around being a chad because for me that is not a very “smart” way to play. But hey, I do not hate it. They can play the way they prefer as long as I get to play the way I want while following the game’s rules.

Generally I feel like being too drastic in one direction is bad. There’s no “correct” way to play, each one has it’s own autistic needs that need fullfilment and each “side” finds what suits them best I think.

EfT is a tactical shooter, BSG should basicly nerf all movment to the ground to the point where you NEED to methodically move through the map because you ain outrunning the bullet or just shrugging it off with the painkillers that amgically remove all impact of the bullet to the point where a mosquito might as well have biten you.
Ratting gameplay is the proper way of playing. W chuds are ruining every tactical game that doesnt punish you for Run n Gun playstyle that is responsible for 99% of the Tarkov Bullshit. The game just isnt built to be Dopamine junkie crack for fast paced players.
You want Gun n Run? Oh boy there is this game called Apex Legends where you will feel at home.

Its not about the excitement, it’s about the absolute hatred you get when you get a 2 for 1 deal with an impact in D2. It is invigorating, also gives you an idea of how racist and terrible this player base is. Trust me they deserve it
