Sometimes I’m convinced that the best way to play Tarkov is without interacting with the community at all, my biggest complaint about the game is the players gatekeeping and being awful people, sure I hate chads too but a ratty playstyle like this fits me perfectly because I can choose my engagements as I wish, do more quests, and make more money, making chads a problem only if i want them to be, mostly. I tune people out and idgaf what anyone says I finish every wipe with all the roubles i want, fancy gear and all that, Tarkov is so much fun when you stop listening to what people want you to do.

I think that munching legs with shotguns while naked and hiding in high traffic areas is some of the most fun I’ve had in Tarkov. There is immense satisfaction going in with a <50k kit and coming out with the fat loot from your prey.

people are always on the extreme ends.
i both dislike W-rush chads AND 30 min statue rats sitting in a bush doing jack all only to snipe you while extracting.

Both are valid ways to play the game but Christ all mighty are they both boring as fuck.

i have to refute your point about ratting being for poor players if me and my friends aren’t doing quests than we rat we referred to ourselves as the “Chad Rats” because we would bring our best gear to camp and if we died we would lose collectively millions of rubles

honestly the most memorable fight i had was a 1 v 4 where i was the tactical rat, sneaking around, gathering as much info as possible through footsteps and other audio. managed to extract with 3 mins left with a loaded backpack.

Idk about you guys but I prefer not to die and actually practice some (maybe basic) actual things that would prove useful in my soon to be (two years for now) military career (we have to enlist but I will gladly be joining them once school’s done)
I’ve heard things individually from guys that already have been through their military duty’s that some laid down in a bush for 4 days straight to pull of some kind of sting OP or border patrol.
Here in tarkov you are forced to move though the entire map in about 30 minutes which kinda kills the idea of pulling this off and forced us to move (even though and in most times I brought an assault rifle in I went to extreme CQB and stayed alive to tell the tale (3-4.smtn KD)

Tarkov is a slow game but it doesn’t mean you sit in a bush but it also doesn’t mean you w key everything. The mix of both defensive and offensive play styles makes the game fun

I don’t understand people that rat and sit in a bush or a corner for 30 minutes, isn’t your time worth something to you? Sure you can tab out and do what? Watch a YouTube video? Just close the game and do that in the first place, there’s no reason to sit and do nothing and hope someone will arrive

This is why I’ve installed the SPT mod, PMCs are still challenging but you won’t die to a Bush Wookie every 3rd raid (if you’re lucky)
