SUPPORT THE DEVS
Dumbest take I’ve ever seen, hands down. Unsubscribed
This channel is starting to become a pretty negative channel and I’m not really digging it. :/
One of the few times I don’t agree with you.
Value is so subjective, so i dont think is valid critique
Horrendous video mate. I’ve been watching you since before u had 5k subs. I guess its finally time to unsub. Its been a great time listening to you!
agree to disagree. I enjoy Stray, My first playthru with all collectibles took me 8 hours. And you need to speedrun it at least 1 time to get all achievements.
It’s better than I expected, not boring.
Lol this game is like, the most overrated new game. It’s just a cinematic short experience without any real mechanics. “Jump” mechanics are just animation prompts allowed only in certain spots.
Puzzles are way too easy.
This video really seems like your disagreeing just to look different. The game isn’t meant to be difficult or complex, it’s a simple relaxing casual game with a great story and world. For me i always buy games cos i usually go back and play through multiple times. Plus that just shows i support the devs especially with This game, In hopes of a sequel of sorts with more money thrown at it.
If you like Stray do what you want.
Why you tell people dont buy just because it short ? If game give you good experiment and enjoy then 30$ not big price. Not every game need 100 hour of grinding for loot.
I rather paid 30$ for best experiment and support small indie game than 60$ for full of bug and cut content game
Bought it, had a good time. Have no regrets:) As someone who tinkers with game development I strongly feel that people and especially “critics” are loosing touch in how much effort and work it takes to produce video game and that the qualitative bar is not set in stone. One studio ability to produce lengthy campaigns or challenging gameplay doesn’t mean that others with a smaller team can run the same marathon or even have same goal in the end and I never felt that I was ever lied about the end product or its qualities. It reminded me of limbo or similar type of indie games that have strong narrative and visual focus and I still found them highly enjoyable, even though it didn’t took me long to finish them. So I think that discouraging purchase is just sending wrong message to developers that clearly invested lot’s sweat and tears into making this game reality.
Ooof. I’m sorry man. But this is a big L take. Sure this may not be Elden Ring, but it doesn’t change the fact people spent months making a beautiful game. They should get paid for their efforts. Because if not, they will see all their efforts have been wasted and won’t be encouraged to keep making quality games.
I gotta disagree Luke
what? no, buy it. more games like this should be made. if you like it. support it.
Going off the comments, I can see the fan base is going to be real cult like over this.
support what you believe in, and stand by.
My cats were the reason why I bought the game and I enjoyed it very much specially having your cats sitting next to the TV and watching you play
After watching Jackson Galaxy play the game, saying that making a cat with its small actions like the ears and whiskers twitching, tails flicking, its hard. And it takes a lot of effort for player immersion to the point you wont even mind the small details.
Art and experience has a price. An indie dev team who took years to make a cat game should get their due
“I really enjoyed the game… but you shouldn’t buy it.” Seriously? If an indie dev makes a good game, you should support them.
Games with minimalistic gameplay can still advance the medium. Hell, my favourite game, Night in the Woods, is basically a 2d walking simulator but the atmosphere and plot is what sells it. Same in the case of visual novels, while people argue they are just just cheap books, which admittedly they mostly are, when done right are masterpieces. And no DDLC is not one of them before you ask I just liked the character of Monika is particular and the shock value it provided.
