I would like to support this developer
I definitely want to pick this up but not for 30 dollars it just looks slightly above walking sim. A game I feel did this WAY better is Iron Lung. It is ALOT shorter and literally has PS1 graphics but it utilizes what it has SO WELL and it’s only like 5 dollars on steam.
I paid $30 and I don’t regret it… enjoying every single minute of it, I’m actually on my second walk-through.
Honestly I felt it was 30 bucks well-spent.
Luke getting roasted in his own comment section lol
Luke you are losing the plot and maybe this is click bait but you complain about the big budget boring and lame games and then don’t want to support smaller innovative trying something new studios that need support. Not sure but damn you’re a Debbie downer.
“There’s no difference between watching a stream and playing the game yourself”. I have to disagree with you I’m afraid. I felt an emotional connection with the cat the entire play through and mostly loved every second. I take your point about the difficulty and I would have liked it to have been longer but overall I think it was a fantastic and beautiful mini-game.
This take feels like it is full of pc master race entitlement. Overall a bad take.
bad take 🤨🤭😄🤓🙄❗️
I am not disliking the vid, but this time you missed the point here. An excellent narrative experience with nice visual storytelling – how this would not be worth 30usd? You made this video as dry bureaucrat, who sees just numbers and not meaning behind them A pity.
well Luke’s reaction (lack of it) to cat falling in 1:21 and cat’s struggle to walk while his pack or family crying/meowing back on the surface in 26:23 says everything…
I really enjoyed this game. Almost cried multiple times and had fun exploring. Took me 10 hours to finish it, and i need another 2 for speedrun achievement.
Kind of funny to see another example of how different people have different taste xD
For example I think the cat movement was actually good with those limitations that game have. Like a graceful cat knowing exactly where to jump. Sure internet have funny compilations of falling cats, but it would be really awkward in this game. And the point about “watch a playthrough” I connect with “difficulty” and wanna flip it. People still crazy for cursed souls games for some reason, but that gives me a lot of YouTube content of suffering people without stepping into he game myself and ruining my sanity XD
First HFW, now Stray? Lol
I know it’s not that serious but I hate these types of games with a passion lol
watching a playthrough on youtube or on twitch is in no way the same experience you get by playing it yourself.. I thought you for one would understand this.. and for the lenght argument, you spent the same or even more to go see a 2 hour movie in cinema.. for its being easy and “mindless” so? Why every game has to be a soul crunching sweatfest giving you visible vein on your forehead? What happened to you Luke?
I bought it to support the devs and it’s currently in my top 7 games of the year. Really enjoyed it for what it is.
I find your view on games fascinating, i just disagree with this particular take.
You praised The Order 1886, which sold for 60 dollars, is 6 hours, and mainly consists of cutscenes. But now a 4.5 hour game comes out for half the price and is mostly gameplay but people shouldn’t buy it? Stray has a decent amount of replay-ability and is actually priced very well for what you get. When you go to the theater you spend at least nine dollars on a ticket, then the money for snacks and stuff, you easily spend almost if not a whole 30 dollars just for one person. Stray is a fun game that’s just a nice story to get through with good mechanics. Not every game has to be an industry breaking RPG with 7,000 hours of gameplay in order to justify having a price.
Your “takes” have been getting worse and worse lately. Seems like you just come up with a clickbait title first and then make up arguments to justify it. Rather than giving an actual opinion.
L take
Thanks to you I bought the game
