good game, but I don’t think it’s worth the price tag of $30… $20 would’ve been fine however. It just really doesnt seem worth it when there are games like undertale for example that deliver an amazing experience for just $10. maybe that’s just me though, to each their own
I like this game but don’t support it and the devs cus 30 dollar game is short? I don’t believe in the message of this video at all, time does not equal money, you also have to factor in the devs time, it’s a product, saying you enjoy the game, then saying don’t buy it is such a harmful message to the devs, this is an indie game and a high quality one, length is one of MANY different factors that determine why people play games, this point of view is why indie games fail, the love, time and quality in this game fully warrents it’s price tag, the I like this but I don’t agree with the price is the exact mentality that people use to abuse the steam refund system to harm devs like these
It’s a great game, it will to stay with you for a long time, that said, $30 is a bit much, imo it’s a $15 – $18 game
Buy the game dammit
Whoag a youtuber who can appreciate the game without slobbering on its knob for having a playable cat, because they know their opinion can lead to people purchasing a game that may not be worth the money 😳
I feel like the people who are drooling over this game are the same people that pitch a tent over being able to pet an animal in a video game.
I think time should not be a good thing to look at for “is it worth the cost”. For example the older shorter AC games were better than the bloated new ones. I’ll take 15 hours of good game for $60 Vs 100 hours of mediocrity for $60
This is exactly the type of game you should buy and pay for. It’s by an indie team that worked really hard and needs/deserves it more than half the developers you endorse on this channel. It’s not even expensive…
strongly disagree, hell, I’m actually going to buy the physical game just to support the developers and annapurna, this might actually mean something bigger down the line. The love put into this is undeniable, giving love back is the best way to send the message to them if you liked it! Love you Luke, but it really doesn’t seem right to tell people not to buy a beautiful game that does so much right.
As I’m sure you expected everybody seems to be latching onto the “only 4 hours” and “don’t buy it” points but I thought that was a fair shake. You game the game praise where it was due but also pointed out the aspects you perceived to be negative.
For me personally the good visuals aren’t enough to warrant a purchase, I’m the type of person who’d prefer fun and challenging gameplay over good graphics with mindless gameplay any day of the week. The game just isn’t up my alley but even if it was I still wouldn’t pay 30 bucks for something that is 4 hours long.
A lot of people are bringing up RPGs in the comments and I don’t think that comparison justifies Stray’s pricetag at all. For twice the price you’re getting in some cases 5x as much main content with wayyyy more replay value and a lot more side content. If I added up my playtime of Bethesda’s RPGs we’d be talking about thousands of hours and if I added up money spent it’d be like 100 bucks for all games + DLC.
Lmao “Don’t buy it”.
Bad take. This game is superb & totally worth the £20 or whatever it is.
Game Pass game
How did you get mods to work? I transferred my entire game folder from PC to the deck and even the
script merger and none of my mods show up when i boot up the game
Definitely worth playing. I upgraded my PS+ account for about 30 bucks. The game comes with with the upgrade and you get the game catalog. A Plagues Tale: Innocence is part of that catalog if you didn’t already get it free. You should just say upgrade your PS+ and you get all those games lol. I beat Call of Cthulhu and now I’m playing Ghost of Tsushima on the PS5 for the first time with the game catalog. That alone is value. I would’ve purchased it on PC if that’s all I had.
lol imagine being a dev and pouring years of your life into a game and some dude on the internet tells his large fan base not to support you even though he says the game is worth playing.
The sunk cost fallacy is strong in the comments section. LMAO. To be clear, he isn’t saying you’re stupid for buying it or the devs dont deserve your money… he’s just saying there are other game with more engaging mechanics and gameplay that are worth the 30 dollars over this game. Sheesh.
Good to see you showing your true colors for not supporting an Indie that actually made something worth playing. You really are an interesting fellow….. Man you are such an elitist. “Its too easy” “Embrace capitalism Morty! Spend and contribute” And this seems like something that is actually a dev delivering what they said they would. Oh wait, I see don’t spend 30 bucks on a small studio, but please spend hundreds on my sponsor who in absolutely not a corpo scam… What a hack….
well, there’s one way to put it. For a hardcore gamers, this game ain’t worth the price unless its on sale. Its difficult to buy a game that feels like “favorite game at first, on to the shelf later. This game is more favorable for casual gamers since it can’t reach the super high standard of games nowadays. In fact, I agree with this vid. The game ain’t bad but it could have been better. Again, the devs made a great job on this game for a new franchise.
$30 is fine. We shouldn’t be directly comparing length of gameplay to money.
