I don’t know, man.. I don’t think this game is meant to be taken this seriously. It would be one thing if it were advertised this deep thing, but it’s not. I mean, it’s 30 dollars, they’re not trying to rip you off. It’s a fun interactive game with a real strong setting and premise. If you value immersion, art style, stuff like that, you’ll enjoy it. As subjective as it, charm is a thing in games.

I think games like Stray have their value and the developers definitly deserve the money. Not every game needs to have replay value and not every game needs to be chalenging.
Stray is well crafted game with interesting narative and many little details to explore. Even game mechanics are good and supports the intended experienc in my opinion (turn off the jump prompt).

And of course sameone may find it boring, short or to easy, and thats fine. No game is made for everyone.

But these are just my opinions. Play the games you enjoy! Support the devs!

I really liked ‘Stray’! (Though I got it as PSPlus member) It was super sweet, I loved the setting, inhabitants and overall style and I even shed some tears in the end because it just catched me 🥲 really lovely game!
As a cat owner, I must add, that the cat inspired player mechanics just made me smile and relate so much 😺

I really like it it’s only 30 bucks I love to support the devs. This is why we don’t get games like this often because people want simple unique games like this but then urge people not to support them when they come out.

Though you did recommend RE Village (which is 5 hours long) for 60 dollars, “if you want a highly polished experience”.
This is a 4 hours long, highly polished experience for half the price.
Love your content and been a sub for like 4 years, but this time I don’t think you were at the right perspective to look at this game.

noooo! it’s worth it for 30$…
for me this is very unique and beatiful game, you need to see they make so amazing level design and storyline.
i have similiar cats, but only have 3legs. this game make me cry +_+

All I can say is that you should play it for yourself and immerse yourself in the neon soacked city with interesting Robots and the fun interactions you get from them.

Not all games need to have a complex story with various ways of interaction. It’s refreshing to have a game to just pick up after work and switch off whilst being immersed in the world the developers have built.
