i did buy the game and i think its better then Elden Ring i like Elden Ring but its to hard so this game is better

Stray IMO is in the spirit of Fire Watch. Simple, cathartic and a great story. I’ve watched a lets play and played it myself, they are very different engagmemt levels. 30 bucks for 5 hour games that are wonderfully beautiful and simple just hit right. No inventory? No minax, not wrecking someone’s day in PVP? No loot boxes. You’re just along for a good ride and some good feelings in the end.

This is a game that exactly matches it’s $30 price point. I would agree to “not buy” if it was a full priced game. But the developers must have known what that would look like and didn’t put out a game just for the sake of money. This is the weakest take and tbh I feel like you’ve been on this weird streak of being hyper critical in your last few videos and it’s coming off as nothing being up to your standards. You’re becoming more negative and I’m becoming less and less of a fan. There’s a fine line between what your reviewing used to be and just nitpicking every small thing.

Well, I kind of agree whit you, I’m a kind of person who looks at the price than the quality of game(Note: that’s because I’m broke not that I don’t like to support developers). But here in India, STRAY costs ₹749 which is arround $10, so for me it’s really worth it! Since, my college began, I’m getting around an hour only to play so short games like STRAY do really well for me.

I have to agree with Stephens with the price issue 30 dollars is steep for what it offers especially considering it doesnt do anything out of the norm. But then again i know someone that would willingly pay 80 dollars to be one of the first to see top gun. Its strange but it happens I wouldnt recommend the game unless its on sale and around 20 dollars like that other rpg game disco elysium. I know its not comparable but if journey is ones own factor then both offer a good amount but one at a better price point.

Just going to be honest, but it kind of feels like you have been ignoring positive aspects of games just so that you can be more negative and get hate-clicks or something in your recent videos. I didn’t know if it was just me being defensive about games that I like before, but I feel that it is a lot more obvius in this video. You do bring up valid points in your videos, but the way that you more-or-less ignore things that you like in a game and instead go on and on and on about even the smallest of nitpicks gets kinda anoying to listen to video after video. I know that your videos are suposed to be critiques, but that is not a get-out-of-jail free card for being overly negative for the sake of negativity.

This seems a little mean-spirited. It’s not even close to a full-price game. It’s worth some fun, time, and story. I’d say that’s worth a few bucks.

Thank you for having an opinion of your own and not just jumping on the bandwagon with this one. I agree. It’s a beautiful game but lacks the content to justify the price. I think it’s good if you can get it for 15 bucks.

I’m glad to see everyone disagreeing with “don’t pay for the game” in the comments. SUPPORT THE DEVS! Unless you burn through/ binge countless of games and you just need a gap filler and don’t really care for what Stray brings to the table, then pay for the game.

Maybe this is an age thing, but I really dislike the whole “Not enough gameplay for the money” stuff. I’m 36 years old and it was totally normal to spend £20 (around $30) on a DVD or god forbid VHS, for what was effectively around 2 hours on entertainment with practically zero replayability.

It’s cute parkour puzzle cat game, not dark souls elden ring hollow knight 3500 collectables boss rush hardcore new game + speedrun game. its like stardew valley, you don’t rush through stardew sleeping for 2 weeks at a time to farm as much as possible.

Support the developers. It’s disgusting to promote getting the game while avoiding paying for it, moreso when your very video in which you do so is monetized. That’s tantamount to promoting piracy which should get this video demonetized. Instant downvote and report of this video, and instant purchase of Stray to help the developers.
