I mean you could argue it’s just a little too much since the gimmicks are pretty straightforward and it’s clear the effort was spent on the environment and surroundings but I feel the world building just isnt fully there

You can get a freaking crusader kings 3 for that money and I’ve played around 200 hours without boredom. I agree with tour point. It doesn’t worth the money. For 10$ maybe good or at least 30 hours gameplay would be worth the 30$

I’m sorry man, but I disagree with this. This game is one of those rare occasions where the developers put love and care into their games and it shows. It’s dark and beautifully designed – like living in a cyberpunk out-of-body dream. This is a game I would happily keep for the rest of my days and replay once in a while until a sequel or a DLC is released, which again I would happily pay full price for. The dev team deserve the potential awards and the monetary earnings they got for this game. Again I’m sorry, but I disagree.

Stray was completely worth it for me. Simple but extremely fun few hours. I had more fun the 7 hours i played stray than the 30 hours I’ve played sunset overdrive.

Mad respect for critising this game, I totall agree with you, this game takes so much from cookie cutter AAA ubisoft it’s very dificult to call it a “brave new innovative indie experience”, plus u can tell the love for this game just comes from the what you play as.

I disagree. I actually think the game is worth the money. In a time where game devs are taking the piss with gamers these Devs did a fantastic job. We got what they said we would get and if you go in knowing what sort of game it is you’ll have a great time.

this was a big waste of time, you really are going downhill with your content.
I watched my girlfriend play this game, and she really enjoyed it, and it lasted about eight hours.
I only wish we could see the like/dislike ratio, thanks YouTube.

I think this might be a case of expectations.
The gameplay was what I thought it would be and I enjoyed my time with every aspect of the game.
I also liked the town areas the most where the gameplay becomes almost like an old school puzzle game.
Do I wish it was a little more complex that requires a bit more thought? Yes. But I very much enjoyed what it is.

I bought the game full price and played it twice in a row. Every second of the game felt so smooth abs enjoyable. While I do agree the game is pretty straight forward, I think they did a decent job with world building. Hoping they make a follow up in the outside world, if so I hope the puzzles are a bit more difficult.

I bought the game knowing it was short so I wasn’t expecting an epic journey but I was expecting a short game that was fun and exciting and can play on my Steam Deck and they delivered my kids play it and just run around meowing at robota or knocking things off shelves its mindless fun and relaxing
