It’s a pointless game
Your video about 30 minutes , nearly more than half of the games hhhhhh
You’ve been having bad take after bad take lately
I got this game for free off of ps plus and I wholeheartedly recommend playing it. You can get a decent amount of hours out of it if you take your time playing through the story and even more if you get all the trophies/achievements. If you go into this game expecting a 60 hour long experience like Red Dead Redemption 2 you’re not going to enjoy it. This is a wonderful experience about being a cat.
This is a very “reddit” game, those soft guys who do soy wojak faces at a “heckin epic as frick cattarino and doggo game!” And get really upset when someone remotely points out something worth criticizing because it disrupts their happy baby Funtime will eat this game up like a junkie shoots heroin. The devs for this knew what audience they were pandering to and it worked judging by the comments here, the soy redditors are responding with their usual canned npc responses
Wait… there is beer at movies theaters?
Luke: good job, helping out the developer on this one. I mean, they produced a quality product and probably don’t deserve the modest $30 per sale copy, right ??
Does anyone know how the playstation plus free trial works? I can only play the games I downloaded as long as I’m subscribed? Or I can download this game and then cancel the trial? A year or so ago I was able to download horizon zero dawn for free and play but don’t remember through what means. Any advice would be tits.
already, basic not at all agree. but then this argument of putting the price of the game in relation to its duration… I’m tired of this argument. cinema ticket: 1h30 film or 2h40 film same price. DVD or Blu-ray: price unrelated to its duration, Music: price unrelated to the duration of the album or song. even books: the price is not necessarily fixed according to its number of pages or the time it takes to read it. Why Video Games is the only entertainment product it’s an argument… I find it completely delusional
I think there is something to be said for quality over quantity. I would rather play a short but very good game over a 100-hour game. $30 is okay for 5 hours of fun ($6/hour).
Journey was like $20-$40, and that’s 2-3 hours to beat it once. It’s a masterpiece. Go play it.
A Short Hike is $10, and that can be finished in like 30 minutes if you really know what to do, and like 2 hours if you don’t. That’s also a masterpiece, go play it.
These prices don’t really tell the whole story. Contrast it with e.g. Destiny 2 where $250 gets your like 1000 hours ($0.25/hour), but I would hardly call that game a masterpiece. I would call it fun, but really grindy, and free-to-try with predatory monetization.
is well known that the game is short but the quality and the history are good enough to reward the developers with a full-price purchase IMO.
This is such a “ I need engagement so I’ll be a contrarian” video
My thoughts. I’m no hour to dollar annoying loser but this is just another novelty game. Haha cute cat wooo, and boom it’s over. This is a classic case of a game needing to be on game pass. It provides value with a playthrough and is over all a solid experience, but in no way worth getting if it’s not on a subscription service for your average dude with only a slight curiosity for the game.
I got it with PS Plus. It’s easily one of my favorite games this year. As someone who doesn’t really care for platformers, Stray was refreshing. I’m going to buy the physical copy when it comes out next month.
Luke’s hottest take yet, and yet I still completely agree 3 it feels like a technical showcase though for anyone who enjoys boundary pushing graphics
wtf
I think $30 is a decent price, and it’s certainly going to come on sale some point in the future for anyone who’s short on cash. But I got a good 12 hours or so with it, taking my time exploring the world and getting 100% completion. For those 12 hours, I was never bored or felt like I wasn’t having a good time. I’ve certainly spent $60 on games that delivered less. It’s not gonna blow you away with anything, but it’s certrainly worth your time (and in my opinion, well worth the relatively cheap $30 price).
My 8yr old son got this free on psn and he loved it not that long but an entertaining couple of hours
I love your videos, but I REALLY dislike the fact the thumbnail has “don’t buy it” in it. I understand if you don’t think its an essential game to play, but having that in the thumbnail is pretty harmful for the reputation of a game that is simple yet good and a game a lot of people loved.
I liked the game.
Would I pay $30 for it? I was prepared to.
I’m glad it was free through PS+
