alright, since dunkviews are allegedly serious videos, I’ll answer seriously too.

First off: The game is short? LITERALLY SO WHAT? It’s fine for games to be short! This lasts about the same as a 2D metroid would on first playthrough, which is plenty.
Secondly: While it’s not wrong that the gameplay is simple and limiting, it literally doesn’t matter. You have a cat’s agility and deftness, therefore that’s natural, and it keeps the game fun to go through. It is, indeed, about story through presentation.
Third and finally: the heck do you mean by “playing a selfless hero for the sake of civilization” bullshit? Your sole objective is “get out”, and you’re only tangentially helping others to help yourself just as others help you tangentially to help themselves. Getting to care for individuals in that setting as you go through it just kind of happens in the process.

You’re not wrong that the details can be iffy sometimes, but it’s nowhere near big enough of a deal as you make it out to be.

All the negative stuff he mentioned was exactly the reason why I refunded the game. For me it was pretty boring and didnt justify the full price, it’s an ok game I’d just wait for a sale or watch a silent let’s play about it.

It’s so weird to see them make mistakes like this. The whole point of playing as a cat instead of a human protagonist seems to be because this is a game without real stakes, you’re a cat that simply exists in this world. All of those text bubbles and tasks just go completely against the strengths of what the game is. I would have thought they picked a cat as a protagonist to avoid all of those typical third person sandbox game cliches. But no, we got dialogues and missions in this game for some reason???

I had no intention of playing this game but I got it for free with my PlayStation plus subscription and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely something I glad I played but I would never buy it.
