you’re definitely right about the fluidity – it’s no Ori but later in the game when you have to go through this police barricade, i was like aw man, and started searching for ways around it…. but then i realised. im a Cat. i can just walk through and no one’s gonna blink an eye, hahah

If you don’t have to play the game, there is no game. Games are fundamentally about obstacles and forcing the player to make decisions and execute plans to get around them. If every obstacle is circumvented by just walking and occasionally pressing a button, there’s no decisions and no skill involved. I’ll stick with my retro gaming collection rather than support and industry that thinks this watered down garbage with pretty visuals and good sounds design but virtually no gameplay is acceptable.

9/10, has a little something for everyone

I think the story would have been better served if the cat was the one that was implanted with the memories of the last engineer as his last ditch effort to save humanity. The same way as the bot discovers memories, it could easily be just you that discovers them, with the help of a bot that you used to help you along the way.

My problem is that despite you playing as a cat, I cannot relate to being a cat, so it loses something.
