Now that publishers know that cat games do extremely well even if its shitty it might be time we do be getting shit games in the next months apparently this game has been in development for 8 years and it’s a short ass game for fucking 8 years goddamn this game make cyberpunk game of the century

Its really charming to see how Annapurna is doing considering how I’ve been following Ben Esposito’s work for a little while. I always wondered what the Arcane Kids were doing for 9 years and wonder when they will release Perfect Stride, but I guess Ben Esposito is busy making anime games instead of sonic dreams collection 2. I wonder what Russel Honor is up to now though.

No big problem when the cat does move like a robot when doing corners, does not have to be realistic. Remember RDR2’s looting animations? Yep, that became a chore. Just be happy that this game does not have microtransactions and shit

For me this game felt more like a proof of concept. This is probably more of setup to a much deeper second game. I imagine it wasn’t a super easy game to secure funding for so it’s likely they just did what they could and made a solid game. That being said this game represents a massive step forward fir strand type games. Or should I say “stray” type games?

I think they should add a completely sandbox free roam mode, where you can just sort of cat around the different areas.

You put my exact thoughts into words. I haven’t played the game, nor do I have any intention to, and your review just reaffirmed my thoughts.
Especially the idea that you’re a deliberately a hero cat and not a cat of circumstance, which was what I thought we were going to do.

It looks super limiting.

I always thought that it’s weird to call it GOTY just cause of that.. after looking into it, Turns out people do think its the GOTY just cause of the fact that you’re a cat.. i appreciate the game honestly but.. its definitely not a goty at all..
