It’s theorized that this game is taking place millions of years in the future. So not only did the robots and enemies evolve, so did other creatures, like cats. Which is why the cat is so smart.

I personally loved this game. It was a nice change of pace and I really like the idea of playing as a cat, dog, etc. Also love the Back to the Future reference, if people noticed that. lol

Dunkey consistently cuts through the crap and says it like it is. He doesn’t get caught up in the hype and he doesn’t shut it down because it’s popular. Honesty is so powerful and it makes him the best game reviewer I know. Please don’t stop

fun 6 hours of gameplay, wish they did more with the story and existential themes though, felt like the end was quite rushed compared to the beginning. For example, Zbaltrar did very little in the story compared to the 3 other outsiders, which had a lot more screentime and were more fleshed out. Antville was kinda just there for that b-12 “big reveal” moment.

Despite really really enjoying the game and getting pretty emotional about it as I tend to do, I agree with most of what he said. There were definitely some animations that could have been smoother and Walthers were some Easter eggs, a HL2 crowbar, people complaining about not having a character made for D&D, knock off daft punk, Bono bot, it would have been nice if there was a lot more to find.

As for why the cat is doing all of this I imagined it was basically just its way to get back to its little cat family. Cats are definitely social creatures and it’s kind of a big point at the beginning of the game that they’ve been separated. I took this all As the cat’s journey to get back to them.
Which made the fact that they don’t get back together at the end or at least that they’re not shown to getting back together very upsetting.
