I must admit I really enjoyed this game, I found it fairly soothing and took it as more of a walking sim with extra bits of content, theres not any real challenge here but its still fun. Nail on the head by Dunkey when saying some of the detail is so good that the bits that are not stick out a lot, but I still enjoyed it as a short game with something a bit different. I’d recommend it……However, I’m more of a dog person.. 2/5

Yeah, if judged based solely on its quality as a game and not people’s love of cats it definitely hits a middling score and the only reason it really stands out at all is because there are very few games that put you in control of a cat. One day someone will make a game like Stray with actual mechanics and gameplay and people will lose their GD minds about it, just like what happened when someone finally made a Gacha game with actual mechanics and gameplay. But even then, just like Genshin Impact, the bar for it to be considered good will be far far lower than any other comparable game. A game like Stray of Genshin is really good for its exact niche, but really lacking for any other game of similar gameplay styles.

im surprised dunkey didnt trash this game more honestly XD it was so annoyingly bad. the gameplay was bad but i think most ppl acknowledged that, but even the story is annoying with the text over visuals. also the dialogue box isnt just on the screen so you have to find it sometimes . the best part of the game was the first 3 minutes when you arent with the robot and are up above with your cat friends/family

as much as I love cats, I don’t really care for the game. Maybe when it goes free on Epic Store or something Ill check it out. For such short experience it does seem to be very expensive.

Definitely would have been a way better game without the drone dialogue to build up the world, and just have a backpack-less cat focussing on context clues to figure out the story.
