Slowed down duck walking is the worst part of Monster Hunter imo. There’s so many crevices you have to go prone for and waste valuable time going through when you could be zipping through the air or running across the ground. It slows the pace by 10 trillion percent.

Stray is an insult to people with cat allergies, and the lack of a dog alternative is what excludes those types of people from enjoying the game at all

The fact that part of the team that made the game actually worked at Ubisoft comes at no surprise with certain mechanics and elements of Stray. That being said the fact that on the market in wich developers and AAA companies take less and less risks we have a game like Stray that put something new on the table alongside the fact that part of the money that the game makes goes to help real cats it’s awesome

A fair assessment. The game isnt bad but anyone rating it a 10/10 is either far to easy to please or incredibly bias. Realistically it probably deserves a 7 or 8. It does look good, and the idea is novel but story is nonsensical and it does seem rather short on ideas.

You went into this a little in your Difficulty videos, but I think a key point that deserves to be explicitly made is that videogames as a medium are both the gameplay and the presentation. Core-A Gaming talks about them as the “mechanics” vs the “motif” (“Why Games Are Still Not Considered Art”), and I would love to hear how you think the two relate, and how they determine whether a game is worth playing or fun or art or all three.
