I actually really liked the fact the game is only about 5-6 hours. Most games are so stuffed with boring fetch quests that are just repeats of earlier missions that all they really serve to do is pad out a game so people don’t complain.

Stray was a nice relaxing game that leaned into its aesthetic. be it gimmicky, it was fun and it didn’t overstay it’s welcome.

I do have an issue with the text boxes, I did think that was kind of lazy and would have added more depth to the AI characters to hear them talk. That being said I liked the story, I love the world they created and I was satisfied with the ending all and all it’s an 8.5/10 from me

As soon as I saw this game I knew we were going to get maybe 100 or 200 more just like it instead of proper games, these game devs always find a way to make garbage and put a fluffy animal on it for the masses

this game does everything I needed it to do and I love it, however it would have meant more to me if it had more depth at least in terms of easter eggs and that kind of content. A Short Hike is kind of similar, but it has such an abundance of thoughtful details and activities etc. that it has a special and lasting place in my heart. I really wanna see more cat games tbh

This game is proof that small worlds with more detail are better than big worlds with less detail. Also that we need more feel good games like this. I hope there’s a sequel. Not to mention the soundtrack truly captured the vibes of cats.
