Yeah man I agree. In my opinion the hype and positive reviews for stray dont really seem deserved given the game is just a atmospheric walking simulator.

Dunkey, please check out gibbon beyond the trees. It’s a stray type game with actually really fun gameplay and a heart wrenching story. Good monke game

Stray is digestible. That’s the best way I can put it.
It has enough atmophere and aesthetic in balance with uninspired mechanics and cut and dry playstyle that anyone can pick it up, it’s not pathologic where the game is a piece of literature artwork with frustrating and half baked mechanics and it’s not call of duty that all it has to offer is polished repeatitive mechanics that all you have to do is to master them and feel nice to ruin the day of other players.
It’s good, it’s digestible, everyone should try it out.

Idk i was more interested in the story and the world than the cat. It does a good job of setting up a mystery and slowly revealing the answer. And while the final answer isn’t really that cool and or interesting the journey to get there was what made it worth it.

I wish we could go back to the times literal perfect games weren’t the standards. Games are larger and more things can go wrong. These awkward turns and physiscs things, i ignore them because i used to do it as a kid as well. Game developers are tied to a budget. This means making that cup fall perfectly or getting that sprint more seamlessly.
