I’m sorry, music nerd coming out a bit.

The Waltz timing was a beat off. The “timing” (Metre) isn’t 3/3. 3/3 doesn’t exist in practice, but I get how you got to that number. It’s actually in 6/8, which means:
– It’s got 6 beats in a measure (two groups of three)
– one “beat” is represented by an eigth-note (the one with a tail) in music. There are six eight-notes in a measure. This second number is sorta arbitrary and only kinda gives… context? Like, 3/8 and 3/4 are functionally identical, but tell me sliiightly different things as a musician. Also, there are no “third” notes. They are only ever split in halves… Lest we get into technicalities.

This type of waltz (6/8) is a Vienna waltz. It usually has a faster tempo and is generally light-hearted.
A waltz can also be in 3/4, which is called a London waltz. It is usually the slow, melodic type of waltz.

Oh, and no. All waltzes are in 3/4 or can be split into measures of pure 3/4, but not all songs in 3/4 are necessarily waltzes. A waltz is a dance. A menuet is also a dance in 3/4, and *not* a waltz.

Also, really liking this playthrough. Didn’t think I’d be watching a gaming channel these days, but here I am.

Not all songs in 3/4 time are waltzes, but many waltzes are in 3/4. They also could be in 6/8 (Musical notation being the only context in which fractions are not reduced to their simplest forms. The general rhythm of 6/8 time is the same as 3/4, but you have twice as many beats per measure.
