Ya I think what Zach was getting into was basically what is considered a furry by a majority of people can range from liking the artwork to full on lifestyle people and while he likes the artwork he doesn’t consider himself a furry, he just hasn’t given much thought into the topic.
I did that same a few years ago, working it all out was how I found getting your problems into words really helps make them clearer.

I own a costume rental store so I buy MASCOT costumes every now and then so I can tell you for sure they are fucking expensive. $1,000+ wholesale for a decent one, easy. We don’t get too many furries though… kinda glad, not gonna lie. I’d guess that they go for a different type of mascot costume or make their own or something.

The wagon tends to break if you increase the physics framerate, a good move is to install alternate start so that the game has a few calm moments to start up. You can do the normal game start with the wagon even if you have alternate start installed.

Zach is a furry in all the ways that matter, and its not a dirty term to be associated with. While the joke about the ‘suspiciously wealthy furry’ is partially true, since a lot of furries due to “nerdy” tendencies are in IT and engineering jobs, not all furries are rich, or have suits, or have a desire to wear/own one. And for all intents/purposes, treasure panda is definitionally a fursona, or at least an OC. Its understandable that you might not want to “admit” it, but honestly its hard to find a more diverse or welcoming community than the furry fandom

One of the biggest draws to fursuit is the ability to be someone other then the awkward, bumbling nerd. It’s like putting on a mask, but it’s also your face… but not actually YOUR face but *your* face… uh actually that’s kind of a weird way to explain it. Like character acting, except as an idealized and cuter version of yourself. Yes… that’s it.

I use to not want a fursuit, but I warmed up to the idea and ended up getting a partial, just the head/mask, tail, and paws. Then at some point I thought “what if my fursona was a girl”, so after adding some strategic padding to the costume, it ended up a gateway to finding out that I’m trans, so yeah I guess a suit can also be a path to self discovery. Also got over some social anxiety.

I’ve been going to scif/fantasy/anime conventions since the late 90’s, and furries absolutely get a bad wrap. In my experience, they’re pretty chill folks that vary in the things they love about the fandom and the things they dislike. Also, the number of times I have had to deal with a con roommate or attendee or fellow congoer getting freaky in a costume *in public*, people really don’t have any right to throw shade at furries because of what some of them might do behind closed doors. Also also, furries are the best friends to have when a costume malfunction happens, because you can bet your Sailor Moon spaghetti bun wig that they have pins, body glue, needle and thread, and a sewing machine in their room.

Speaking of dreams (closer to the end of video) I used to get these dreams that would come true. Nothing special just once or twice a week I would have this weird feeling I’ve seen this before. I had this one dream my family and I were watching M•A•S•H and I said deja vú. Then said woah Deja vú! And my mom told me to be quiet. It was a weird thing. Kind of wish I still had those dreams.

This may have been said already, but eh; you can like furry themed art and still *not* be a furry. Just liking furry themed stuff doesn’t automatically make you one. That’s for the person to decide.

Fursuits aren’t weird per say, from the outside I can certainly see why, it’s more akin to cosplaying as a favorite character. But ya, they’re egregiously expensive averaging at about $3,000
