Kotaku is honestly such trash and im convinced they let literally anyone write for them. I remember one time when Overwatch was at it’s peak of popularity, this adorable couple who were cosplaying as Genji and Mercy, their mains on Overwatch, went to a Convention together and the Genji cosplayer proposed to his girlfriend Mercy cosplayer at that convention because that’s where they met each other. It was such a sweet story that got popular in the fanbase, and some dipshit Kotaku “journalist” decided to write an article being all like “yeah the proposal was sweet but these two need to get better taste in ships” and spent the entire article calling them homophobic for shipping Genji/Mercy instead of Pharah/Mercy and it was honestly just…so awful.

Kotaku is a joke and no one should take anything they write seriously.
