How is it “orientalism” to show an east Asian inspired setting? These fucks are so used to American dominance that anything outside that is seen as fetishistic to them. I get that a lot of early cyberpunk also had a sense of “yellow panic” to it but simply showing a dominant Asian design isn’t the same thing at *all*.
