Fun Fact: some graffitti in the game written by Momo says that the robots gained self awareness 2,544,875,556 days ago. Which is like 6 million years under current day lengths of 24 hours.

Which would be like 9 million under 32 hour days. other text in the game refers to astrophysics and how the earth gradually has its days become slower over time. The earth at its current rate gains about 13 seconds every million years. To go from 24 to 32 hours would take 2.2 billion years if everything stayed at its current rate(which probably isn’t a safe assumption, tbh, so this number could be way lower in actuality). And we don’t know exactly when the city was built or when humans died out. But it tells us that it was at least 9 million years since the robots developed their society, assuming that an hour on their clocks means the same span of time that it does for us today. Everything else in their society is a fairly direct 1:1 translation though, so it’s safe to assume that’s what the devs intended it to mean. And 9 million years only adds 2 minutes to the clock. I can’t recall if any clocks had times less than 16 hours on them, so it’s harder to say when the humans first built the city or when they died out. Still, that’s a potential span of 9 million years up to 2 billion for the time the city has been around.

This may explain the cat’s superior intelligence as well. Since cats fill an ideal evolutionary niche, their outward appearance and physical abilities wouldn’t necessarily change much over a long period of time. Places without cat-like creatures eventually has evolution make one out of what creatures it has available. But their intelligence could increase given sufficient evolutionary incentives and selective pressures along with beneficial mutations regarding intelligence. And the given timeframes are potentially feasible to work these traits into the existing cat population. Though I have less knowledge about how long it would take a SPOILERS: ~~~~~~ Bacterial colony to develop into a multi celled superorganism that is half-eldritch horror Doom monstrosity and half Headcrab.

Everyone thows a billion dollars at a project, add all kinds of unwanted features and cant even bother to iron out bugs but snatches at your wallet for purposely removed content to be sold as dlc and in the end, its not evem worth $10.

This is a game about a small kitty uncovering mysteries and helping robots. Blows most $70 garbage out of the water.
