Oh a cat would betray the supposed cause for a bellyrub. It’s a cat.
Been waiting for this review
Did not disappoint
As someone with ADD the constant change of game mechanics was welcome. It kept my attention until the end.
Genuinely wasn’t expecting a Blinx The Time Sweeper reference in the year of our lord 2022
Not exactly the same, but you can play a cat in Tokyo Jungle.
I get the feeling that Yahtzee isn’t a cat person, but I’m sure Dabarella would love this game.
I’ve been saying it’s a walking sim and everyone pretends it isn’t or that it’s so original or something. Also, cats tend to be on the assholes spectrum of personality, so all those “tender moments” fall flat. If they made it a puppy or gave the cat a bit of personality I could empathize.
AH yes, the power of California – the moment you wake up and realize that yep. . . still in California and wishing you weren’t.
This game was fun but I wanted to more evil cat-like stuff, like stand in front of people causing them to trip, claw at things, and chase mice around
🤍
the only reason to play it is literally “Lol, cat”. And tbh it’s a good one. It won’t work again, but it deserves to have worked once.
0:35 a game where you play as a cat is far from unprecidented. one of the first games I ever played was one where you played as a cat and it was a rather famous one for the time. it was called “Alley cat”
loved the video, but since when did yatzee support pay walls?
The Game kind of lost me when the cutey wutey ickle wickle droney wone started to get out the flashlight to help the cat see in the gloom. All pretense of playing a cat and not a silent protagonist fell off the floor at that point. I still liked the game, but there could have been done so much more with the “Your´e cat now” idea.
We played a cat in “A Day For Soft Food” back in 1999, but that was an indie text adventure, so “we” is a very small slice of the gaming demographic.
Also, is it just me, or is “falling into the sewers of an underground robot city and trying to climb back out” reminiscent of the Apple II cult classic Robot Odyssey?
You already have a cute cat companion doing rpg style things like swinging a giant Icecream scoop at enemies at home aka Daborella
My IRL cat keeps distracting me from my PS5 one
Haven’t you heard? Apparently, “spaz” is a bad word now.
That opening bit is Yahtzee’s funniest in a while
Not one pussy joke. Don’t know whether to be proud or disappointed.
